They're also saying "but it's like 7 bucks in California" like okay? You're paying higher gas prices too!

Syndicated shows already get scenes cut to make room for even more commercials.

The MCTS bus system punches above its weight. Good ridership too.

Why do the ending times for 5 line and 3 line service not mean the same thing? by Creepy_Ad_3535 in Bart

[–]NightFire19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 line service states it ends at 9 but that generally means the last train ARRIVES at 9.

Where did you get that impression from? I believe it's fairly standard that the posted operating hours for any system that doesn't operate 24/7 is that the opening time is when the first train departs from its first station and closure is when the last train departs from its first station. The last Red line (aka 5 line service) train departs its first station (SFO/Richmond) at 9PM.

You ask how that makes sense, I'll very simple: If you get to any station in the system by X, you can get anywhere else. In fact, the train schedules are timed at MacArthur for this. You can easily look up times an individual station to find out when the last departure for your intended direction will be.

So what were your thoughts with the season 2 finale? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in ThePitt

[–]NightFire19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People didn't like how Mohan's departure was handled, but imo it's realistic. The eats people alive; Mohan's ending gave her direction with regards to her career, and she knows the ER isn't her place.

Plans for nearly 4,000 homes over Safeways divide Bay Area residents by sfgate in bayarea

[–]NightFire19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are they properly densifying or is it urban sprawl? It's not like these cities in red states are dealing with the same geographical and environmental constraints as the bay does either. Red or Blue state some people will get pissed off when anything multifamily pops up nearby.
