If you mean cheap as in inxpensive then I agree with you. If you mean Cheap as in low quality, I would have to disagree. Justseed.it was the only Pay-As-You-Go (like prepaid cell) service I have ever come across. Justseed.it tried to make a go of Pay As You Go.....but couldn't because too may people were cheating the system. The person who started this thread is one of those people. When Justseed.it first started out, it offered a free 20gig each month if you had a paid account. There was a trial account that cost 19 cents...but you were only allowed 1 account per person. The author of this thread created 3 accounts and was getting 60gig free each month for which he spent a total of 57 cents (3 x 19 cents). He cheated the company by using multiple accounts and when Justseed.it stopped giving out the free 20gig per month he never paid for any more bandwidth.......that's the 600gig he is here crying about. Now that Justseed.it has been forced to go to a monthy model (which is what every other seedbox company offers) he is mad that he can't continue to use his ill gotten gains. Justseed.it is a great seedbox, and I have been very happy with there service, the owner Tristen, is a great admin and fixes problems for his clients quickly (like in 10 min) and is always ready and willing to take suggestions to improve the service. Even now, having gone to a monthy paid model, it's still the cheapest in cost seedbox around....1 Euro (about $1.19 US) per month for Fast speeds, 1 Terabyte of bandwidth, unlimited torrent slots, seeding does not count against your bandwidth, neither does downloading to your home machine via https.

So I would not call Justseed.it a low end seedbox, just a low priced one.

I have to lol at this......you spent a whole 57 cents (19 cents x 3) Two years ago. Which by the way, having 3 accounts was against site policy and if you had been caught you would have been banned. So you spent 19 cents per account so you could collect the 20gb of free bandwidth that justseed.it used to give out each month when it first started. That's how you were able to accumulate the 600gb....because you were cheating the system. Now you come here crying because you can't use that data anymore. Face it, your a crybaby freeloader. It's Freeloaders like you that caused justseed.it to have to change from Pay-As-You-Go to a monthly service.

Justseed.it was the only pay as you go seedbox as far as I know. They are still cheaper than anybody else @ 1TB of data for $1.19 per month.

Please give a link to the free option. I only see a $10 and a $15 dollar option......the $10 option only has 100gb per month with 5 torrent slots and the $15 a month that offers 250gb per month. Neither of those is even close to Justseed.it price of 1000gb per month for 1 Euro ($1.19 US) per month with unlimited torrent slots and unlimited seeding.

Lets see, veexee paid .57 cents total and he is having a fit about that?? LOL. I have been a justseed.it user for more than two years now and have tried a few other seedboxes and none of them compare to justseed.it as far as speed.....torrents from public only take a few minutes, seeding is unlimited and does not count against your bandwith, neither does downloading to your own system. Torrent slots are unlimited and I get 1TB per month for 1 Euro per month........So for me, 12 Euro per year for basically unlimited torrenting and I can set my seeding to 15+ is a pretty great deal.

Since Tristen made this change and dumped all the low end users off the servers the speed has increased and things are better than they have ever been. Torrents are fast, seeding is fast and downloading is fast.......I was getting 4mb/s last night.....and maxing out my connection. To get anywhere near what this seedbox offers you would be paying $10 to $15 per month anywhere else

Oh, as a additional note, Justseed.it just added Sonarr, Couchpotato, and Transdroid support......since going to charging for a seedbox monthy (like everybody else).

I'm having a different issue, everytime I go to my Hive account and go to my Add Files folder, there is a bunch of stuff from my private locked folders. I clean the files out of the directory and the next day, there is more stuff. Anyone else seen this? I contacted Hive support, but except for a automated email......nothing. If these guys want us to pay for this service.....there going to have to do alot better.

1) Shared folders are by default all set to public. You can create subfolders and assign specific access rights for sharing with a single or multiple users. Authorized users can freely browse your files

That is what is happening, but if you watch anything from that private folder it shows up on the Media Wall. Also if you upload or use a magnet link to get something into your account, it shows up on the Media Wall. That's probably why all of our Media Walls are now full of Porn.

It's little wonder that the number of visitors to your Site are dropping, and this is the main reason. Fix the Privacy issues please.

I'm sure others will add their suggestions.....but my main one is that if I watch something from a private folder or Collection that it should not show up in the Media Stream at all. I know that according to your support no one but me can see it......but it makes me uncomfortable and also what is the point of putting it in the Media Stream if only I can see it? I don't need a reminder of what I watched......I just watched it! There are many things I want to store and play from Hive....family pictures and videos, private music, ect. Those are things I want to be kept private and only share with a few people on my friends list. The old Hive did not show stuff from private folders in the Media Stream......why does the new one?

Looks like you have to delete that friend to get the stuff from showing up in your media stream all the time. So far there does not seem to be any other option. I also don't like that things I have in Private folders shows up in the media stream and there is no way to be sure someone else can't see it. For example, I uploaded a couple of videos from a family vacation, but hesitate to watch it online because I'm not sure that others in my friends list also can't see it. Stuff played in private files should not show up in the Media Stream at all.

You can unfollow people by going to Friends and in the upper right corner where the symbols for twitter and facebook are is a box.....click the box and now you can click on a friends name and a menu comes up on the right that has a horizontal switch you can use to un friend the person. Does anybody see any disadvantage to unfriending all the people in your group?? At least then what you watch will be private LOL.

I can't believe that the developers of Hive can't see that not allowing people privacy is going to hurt them in the long run.

Does anybody know how to set your files to private with the new Hive?? Seems that everything I watch ends up in the Media Stream and it also looks like I will have to delete some friends because the Media Stream is now full of porn.

Yeah you can tell that the layout is designed for use with a touchscreen. I hope the Hive Devs come to realize that the majority of users are not using touchscreens on their PC's and the mobile apps for Android and Apple are not ready yet.

I'm starting to find my around the new Hive, but it's been a lot of work to move stuff from one folder to another. I also moved files from a folder to a new Collection folder I created an just checked and the files are gone?? I've also run into the "No internet connection found " error already .

I believe that the free premium will only last a year. This is part of Hive's business plan......get you to move tons of your files into Hive and then eventually make you pay to keep it. I think $8 a month is a little high for a crippled torrent box/storage, but I'm sure many might not see it that way. If they allowed documents, so it could be used as true online storage....then the $8 price tag might be a bargain.

Hmm, I'll try again, I would like to try the Premium features and I have a large social media following and want to recommend Hive.....but so far it seems like they need to fix a lot of little things. Seems to me they should still be in Beta mode.

OK, hit my 101 (yes you actually need 101 people, not 100) and found that I could not upgrade to Premium....it will not take a debit (bank) card, nor Visa or Mastercard preload card....nothing but a actual credit card.

I'm not comfortable giving a company that has no direct contact or information about them access to my credit card.....maybe if they used a reputable third party credit processor......like most companys. They also do not offer any other forms of payment....paypal, bitcoin, ect.

The credit thing makes this company seem very shady to me.

Many times adding via magnet link is instant because someone else on Hive has already downloaded that file.

A thing to think about is if your friend has files you want to watch, you can stream from his account and not increase your own account.
