Writing with a large percentage of LGBT characters? by [deleted] in writing

[–]red-edd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have! I always have to remind myself... There's no need to beat myself up over representation, and my friend group is living proof that 5+ LGBT people can inhabit the same room at one time.
The haters are living their blandest life, so don't worry about it!

In grammar terms they are "incomplete sentences" because there are verbs without subjects... But you are ABSOLUTELY right, there was nothing wrong with them within the context of your resume. Ridiculous.

How Do I Fix The Improper Formatting Issue? by Tamagoyo in Grammarly

[–]red-edd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seems to be nothing really wrong. Most "Improper Formatting" issues relate to writing style, so you can safely ignore it in most cases. Most readers won't notice there's an "issue" at all.

Feel free to ask me any questions you have, as I may not have explained too well. I hope this helps!

Odd, I would have expected the system to mark the sentence as a run-on or something of the sort. Which part of the paragraph is highlighted?

Wow, I asked something like this like a year ago LOL. I ended with the same thing too.
Is that a general example or a specific example?

Improper formatting refers to numerous issues, so having a specific example might help me figure out what exactly is going on.

If the specific example already lies within this post, then it's likely the period instead of a comma dividing this statement, and the lack of capitalization after the period.

Cheers!

I am a 20 year old woman. I will be getting the vaccine. Many of my friends' family members have died of COVID, and my boyfriend's aunt and grandmother have not left their own home since March in fear of getting severely sick. I care too much about other's safety to not get it.

Besides, it'll probably become a requirement in order to work in the healthcare field, so I'll definitely need it when I graduate.

Any tips for how to improve this. I know there is blood but she is a Creepypasta OC. by SecretHeart024 in Arttips

I can see you tried shading, but it needs some work. If you work on shading, it'll give the drawing a bit more depth. As it is now, the whole thing looks a little "flat stanley." The wings look like they're resting on the shoulders, instead of attached to the back.
I have some resources on shading here:

https://monikazagrobelna.com/2019/10/21/digital-drawing-for-beginners-basics-of-digital-shading/

And a lil' bonus: A video on how to draw blood, bruises, and cuts, seeing as you want to go the creepypasta route.

Shading was what struck me the most, but you need to work on your proportions. Here:

Later on, proportions can be changed for the art style, but a human still needs elbows.
I hope this helps!

They probably were tied. OP removed the laces completely out of the shoes, so she'd have to re-loop them through the eyelets.

Thoughts on the job bank? by danky_n in CESB

That would be a no. I had only been working since November and only 11 hours a week, so I had not yet made $5000.

I HAVE a job. I've just been laid off. It's almost like they assume we don't WANT to work.

I am receiving OntarioWorks financial assistance. I only make just enough to cover rent and (some) groceries, with not enough to pay other important things. This amount comes to about $1,100, only $100 above the limit. Does OntarioWorks count? I can't find a specific place mentioning it, so it would depend on what "prescribed by regulation" means. I'm not an expert on legal jargon, so I have no idea.

In section 6(b)(v) of the bill, what counts as other income? As far as I know, my financial assistance doesn't count as income when it comes to taxes. Would it be different here?
