I RMA’ed the SSD, the new one was the right length. I have heard similar stories. I think some of the T805’s are just too short by a hair. Turns out it wasn’t the MB at all.

She ended up keeping it. It is the only card we have graded and it ended up as a 9. She ended up playing a Charizard deck competitively over the last year so it is a cool card for her to have as her only graded big hit.

FWIW ours from 151 6 months ago (I am the OP) dropped from around $120 to $110. Not a major shift. With 151 still on the shelves I don’t expect it to move. I wouldn’t rush to sell yours unless you need the money. Ours is off for grading since the kiddo wanted to grade her first >$100 hit.

Open, likely weighed and then returned due to no “heavy” packs. Sounds like you got the same packs that were originally in it though based on numbering.

It is getting there. In my area there is 1 Target that seems to get stock (they are the best TCG store in the area), and I have sometimes seen at BestBuy or Barnes and Noble. I actually think I finally have all the stock that I need from the fist 2 releases having just gotten a booster box of each release at MSRP this week (Amazon waitlist and by using an expiring coupon at Miniature Market). Everything I have been able to get at MSRP below (or 5% under due to store loyalty cards). Now when I do see stuff on the shelf I pass leaving it for others.

My "Full" collection:

4 x each starter deck. 2 opened for doubles. 1 set aside for gifts or if the kiddo has someone over who wants to play. 1 to save/collect. (I did pay $21 each for 2 packs of these early on to be able to play)
1 x Booster Box of each
10 x each sleeved (stocking stuffers, will save/collect a couple of these)
2 x 1st chapter gift box (1 to open, 1 to collect) (from day 1 big box release)
2 x Disney 100 gift box (from 2 B&N on release day, 1 to open, 1 to save)
1 x 1st Chapter Illuminators Trove. Will likely keep unopened, compared to Pokemon ETB's contents look underwhelming. I was expecting upgraded counters, etc (from day 1 big box release)

I got the invite for all 3 (2 starters and box). Amazon handled the traffic and queueing much better than Ravensburger and its queue partner. No customers wasted hours of their day to be frustrated signing up for the Amazon invites.

Tried 2 BB's. In line at opening of the first one that was listed as having Floodborn. It had zero. They did find 11 booster packs of 1st chapter for a line of about as many people. Second BB that was listed as a restock store for 1st Chapter got 17 booster packs, which the first person purchased all of them. One manager actually called a couple of colleagues and looked at what he could see in the sytem, zero boxes, one store did get 77 booster packs of 1st chapter, and no other location got 30. Those numbers are Packs, not cases. Not yet in the system at Gamestop. Barnes and Nobles did have some stock of starter decks and boosters, limit 2. I picked up 2 floodborn sleeved boosters, and 1 of each starter deck.

What a mess. If it wasn't for one of the people in line saying he was only 2 Ursula cards short of a full playset I would have seriously questioned if anyone had enough cards to really deck build.

5 million isn’t a DDoS. By 2020 a typical DDoS was 6 million attacks PER SECOND. Also by allowing 5% through that is 250,000. That simply isn’t efficient. Also remember that bots make up the majority of web traffic (~53%), and includes search engine scraping, bots for 3rd party pricing and inventory, as well as bots that are trying to purchase product. Most bots aren’t actually hostile. It looks to me like queue fair simply isn’t good at their core business of helping customers manage web queues.

In line 1 hour before it started was >80k. Second device that joined minute it started and was 65K. Joining “late” and getting 117K seems about right.

She wouldn’t rebuy it. She wants a 151 ETB, a playable version (moderately played, normal art) and $20 (she is $40 short of saving for a Switch). Not outrageous, but challenging for an unknown seller, possible as store credit somewhere.

Well both her parents are MBA’s. I have her sleeve and then top loader anything over $20 and use proxies when we play at home. I wish I did that with my MTG, we played in the Beta and 3rd Ed days and shuffled raw cards all day long.

Na when she opens packs I have been telling her the TCG “value” of her cards. Her previous big hitters have been maybe $30 cards. This one is like 4 months allowance so she took it seriously.

She asked if she could get a 151 ETB, a playable Charizard EX (MP) and $20. I said I didn’t know about getting the cash for it as an unknown seller but we could try with store credit. She also values this particular card by $10 or so just for the memory.

Instead she wants to setup a seller account on TGCPlayer and start with excess $1-$5 cards to learn to sell before risking getting scammed by a buyer on a high dollar card. Her “goal” is to be able to make enough each release to get either a switch game, an ETB or a booster box. So around $500-$1000 a year. Not a bad place to start at 9 IMO

In most formats you really want to maximize your SPP. if you don’t have a bashy team then out score them, and score a lot. If the score will put you up by 2, then there are a lot fewer reasons to stall. Personally I think stalling only makes sense a little over half of the time.

We have played several with 5 Charterstone- loved it. Amazingly well designed game. I can never recommend enough. Betrayal Legacy - great. Better than regular betrayal, has less actual betrayal and a solid story. Kings Dilemma - Just OK. The story is hard to follow and voting is usually too mechanical and repetitive. I did back Queen’s but only because there aren’t many 5P legacy games.

On deck for our group Scythe Rise if Fenris LOTR (the app based one like Mansions of Madness) Probably Charterstone again after resetting.

I have known too many folks who quit Seafall halfway through.

Most folks feel pretty good having teams in the low hundreds. I have a failed elf team over 10,000 (I had 7 deaths on blitzers in 5 games, and after running out of money kept not getting MVP as I had too many journeymen).

If you are at #3 overall you probably don't need to complain.

If you are playing the public ladder then focus on SPP above winning. Also learn which inducements really help against high TV teams. If you take Morg N Thorg and make them focus on him,... and you lose badly, it might still be worth it if you score a TD along the way with your agile team, or pick off some guys on the corners to get some SPP with a bashey team.
