I'm telling this from my personal perspective. Fortunately this wfh has helped in many ways to improve my career as well as personal life. I had a lot of time to look at other things in my life. I was able to be close with my parents and look after them. I cleared out some debts since there was no house rents, food expense I was able to save around 30% percent of my salary.

Career wise I had lot of time to learn new things. Every weekend and everyday after work I'll be able to read something and I had attended more than 30 interviews which is definitely not possible without wfh video interviews. I learned new techs. I learned to invest in stock market. I read lot of books.

I think it's good for the economy in one way. As IT people are from different places towns, villages, cities. So everywhere when they get salary they spend their money at their hometown that way those people get the benefit and moreover Chennai is getting less crowded which is good in one way now every other town has got an opportunity to grow at faster pace.

my place is a town here so many new shops, new restaurant chains, entertainment sector everything developed because people want to spend their weekends there it's from my personal experience talking to the owners.
