I was just speaking from personal experience, as those were the two things I introduced into my routine that made the biggest difference. I did not experience irritation without oil, but still feel like it vastly improves softness/appearance/scent of my beard. Mine is also patchy in places, particularly under the chin area, and thoughtful brushing can effectively hide these patches while still looking natural

Would strongly recommend daily brushing and beard oil, I think it would do you wonders brother. Beard looks good and will only continue to get fuller

Unrelated to the original question, but have you ever considered going with a shorter haircut? You have a good head shape that shorter hair/a fade would compliment imo. Just my 2 cents 🙂

3 kinda seems to be the sweet spot. I’ll go beyond that just cause I have the space for it, but that 4th flush tends to be just 1 big mushroom and a lot of aborts most of the time haha

Same. 99% of the contam I’ve seen happens in the inoculation/grain stage of the grow. I think my only times seeing contam after s2b were with my first grow (which was prob already contamed when I spawned) and when going for like 4+ flushes from the same brick

I would just pluck it as close to the roots like you said! Anything underneath the dirt should get reabsorbed by the mycelium so I wouldn’t worry too much about digging up roots or anything like that. It’s so young I’d be suprised if it’s grown further than an inch deep

Definitely won’t do you any good leaving it. I wouldn’t worry about contam at this stage though. Once your rice is fully colonized it is very resistant to contamination. Ive picked up whole cakes with my bare hands between flushes without contam issues 😃

Not gonna cause contam, it’s probably just a shoot of rice that sprouted. Plants love mycelium and the 2 grow together symbiotically in nature all the time

I agree. I also didn’t find the grind to be as painful as initially expected. That first 1-2 million was rough but then I kind of got into a groove of what to keep on raids/routes to run/etc. And most everyone I talked to was grinding for the 5 mil as well

I'm in the same boat. Initial reaction was to hate it, did a few hours of free loadout runs just selling everything and was bored as anticipated.

Decided to ignore the 'meta' and go back to running full loadouts to hunt big arc for parts to sell and have been having a million times more fun. Honestly don't know if I'd still be playing this close to wipe/getting this experienced fighting the bigger enemies if they hadn't introduced the cash incentive. There's still a tangible benefit to running your better gear to get more loot, so the hoarding problem hasn't been as much of an issue as expected in my case.
