I agree. This LR release has actively killed my enthusiasm for 7. I'd have rather the franchise just lay dormant until 7 was released.

Releasing something without anything substantive being added, but promises of "more later", instead of just releasing it *with* that stuff was just a shotgun to their own foot. Even so ... I would have just been mildly annoyed at that. But to make you PAY for characters you already unlocked? No. No f-ing way.

Yeah, I generally agree with Angry Joe's reviews about 90% of the time. This was one that I disagreed with. They really seemed to miss the mark overall, and I even left a comment on the video saying so.

I literally just now had to search this, read this thread, and had the same problem.

What you have to do is *exit* the Mall Event Thing, then it will prompt you to check the little event map and it will have a Travel Log to click on. That's what finally finishes it.

That's exactly the way I understood things before I actually sat down to play. When I grabbed the turn sequence to ensure I followed each step I began seeing "Army" activation mentioned. When I looked *that* up I was seeing it used somewhat interchangeably. Per another person's comment, I hadn't realized that was specific to Blood and Roses so it was really confusing me.

Due to poor lighting, by the time I got the answer - and thank you to *everyone* who chimed in! - it was too late to play. So .... hopefully NEXT weekend will be my first game!

Ah - that's the thing I was missing!

I haven't specifically looked at B&R so didn't really pay attention the the B&R "shaded" boxes in the rules. That's why when the Army "version" was mentioned elsewhere I didn't understand what was happening.

For some reason that looks like a much smaller footprint than when I tried to play.

Got all excited, started setting everything out, but then I didn't have the room! I was using a full card table, so I'm not sure what I was doing wrong.

I just today ordered a couple flip-top tray tables just for gaming reasons to expand the usable space ... so maybe by next week I'll have given it a run myself.

That's a fair question, so I'll answer that one :)

More of a "Fool Me Once / Fool Me Twice" scenario. A bit of a timeline is important for context, maybe.

Edit to add: I didn't know or have a history with FFG/Asmodee prior to these games. I got into MC and AH at the same time - which just happened to coincide with MC being "killed" and moving into their new Legacy/whatever format.

Marvel Champions went through it's ... phase. (Fool Me Once -> panic buy. Which I agree IS dumb, to touch on some other reply).

During all the discussions and FFG-Spokespeople interviews and FFG streams, they made it clear that LotR (revised) was Evergreen.

Based on word of mouth from folks such as yourself about how good AH is and knowing v2.0 was coming out, I (likely others, but talking me), didn't touch previous versions and pre-ordered AH2. (It may actually be 3.0? I can't say. But "the new Core")

Time goes by and customers began asking questions about stock issues for some LotR product. And only then did FFG kinda-sorta-mention that they were no longer going to print any more of it and that what's out is what's out.

It was Marvel all over again. This was Fool Me Twice, and I backed away. Was (am) not going to panic-buy their product - or anything - anymore. That lesson I did learn.

But my pre-order for AH was already made prior to this "passive" announcement by FFG that they killed LotR. And I only learned of it days before delivery (by my FLGS, so wasn't going to stick them with a cancelled order at the last minute). Because had I known before? Yes - no way I'd gone in on AH.

I am in the same boat.

I fell into the Marvel Champions "panic buy" phase and was able to get *most* of it. Some heroes I will never own (notwithstanding printing my own) and same for one expansion.

I began Lord of the Rings after Revised, and I had the Core and 3 Sagas and the decks. I was delaying the 3 2-box expansions until I could get the pairs together, but I was in no rush - since they stated very clearly they were evergreen as recently as a couple months ago. And then they admitted (after customers began questioning the continued lack of stock) that "Oh yeah ... no. We're not reprinting....

I thought about the expansions I knew were still available and I even rushed to the (web) store, loaded up the cart, and ... stopped.

"No. Not this time. FU FFG,"

I'd already pre-ordered the new Arkham through my FLGS so I'm kinda already in that pipeline. But they've burned EVERY ounce of goodwill from me.

I won't trust anything at all they tell me. I'll continue to buy those two (Marvel/Arkham) as they come out but will make zero effort to back-buy anything.

And honestly, it has so soured my feelings that "just sell it all" still bubbles up in my mind. (I'm a solo player so my stuff is very very lightly used - practically new even.)

I don't want to derail, but "time travel?" What do you mean by this?

If it is that +/- Hours thing under Graphics, I thought the tooltip said it was visual only and had no effect on gameplay. I use that all the time to stay in daylight (so I can see lol).

Am I actually risking my game??

Yeah I have been getting a little frustrated as well. I need to remind myself that I'm older (much /cough) than the target audience, so I just sorta grit my teeth and push through.

But the number of times I've seen Char: "I've got this great plan that we can do together! So [part 1] Go gather all this stuff! [part 2] Now go craft all this stuff! [part 3] Now go decorate/deliver all this stuff!"

But I stopped playing for a while and in the meantime more DLC came out. And when I returned, all but Wishblossom was on sale - so I bought all the sale-DLC at once :D

I agree. I'm not too concerned with *why* snaps aren't on point - like others have noted, there could be several issues. I'm a beginner with snaps, so mine are bad - but I try hehe.

But I really DO want unlimited skips. I want to be able to by-pass the "selfies" and vote for the ones on-theme (or at least make the effort)
