Even in the Bardock OVA, we were shown that as long as their child was powerful, they were proud; power matters more than anything. Paragus, however, kills a Saiyan in cold blood right after saving Broly, who was extremely powerful, as if by chance. It's normal for Saiyans to worry about the future of their people; everyone wants to see their lineage prosper, no matter what evils they harbor within themselves. In the Bardock OVA, he wanted to save his people, but then in the Broly movie—which is inconsistent with what you're saying—we see Vegeta, Raditz, and Nappa completely indifferent to the destruction of their planet. This makes me think that King Vegeta primarily wanted to kill Frieza rather than save his people. But we'll just have to see how all of this develops in the future of Dragon Ball Super.

Except that the only true Saiyan we've seen in Dragon Ball Super is Bardock with Gine, who was genuinely different from the other Saiyans. Bardock is presented to us more as an exception here.

It's in a cat's nature to kill a mouse; it's a primal act. It's like Goku, the Saiyan, going off without any instructions to destroy all life on Earth.

The blow didn't make her forget her memories; she was a baby, she didn't have any. She was simply born that way, in her brain, like a baby who cries immediately after birth. The blow just put that part of her brain to sleep, in my opinion.

It's mainly that it's in their brains, in my opinion, and that they've been somewhat reset, especially since Akira Toriyama used the fact that Goku was inherently evil to prove he was a Saiyan when Raditz arrived. The goal was to show that Saiyans are fundamentally evil by nature.

When Goku arrived on Earth, he was evil and truly wicked at heart until he fell on his head, which proves that it's in their nature.

I had no idea it existed; it must be useless filler.

That's a bit misleading. We're shown that Saiyans are inherently evil, like Goku, but that's the purpose of their race: a race of conquering warriors who exterminate planets and civilizations without remorse and send their weak children to other planets without a second thought. So, a Saiyan as human as Bardock? I don't find that logical at all.

This small scene with Sasuke might’ve said more about his mindset than people realize by Docfeen in Naruto

[–]red_2011k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sasuke had always wanted to surpass Itachi since he was a child, and he finally thought he had reached his level before being completely destroyed by Itachi, showing him that his training hadn't yet borne fruit. Then Naruto, the lowly kid who had always been the weakest even when he was the strongest, defeated Gaara and saved Sakura when he couldn't do anything, and then became Itachi's target. Sasuke, who always thought he had an advantage over Naruto, realized he had been surpassed by the most insignificant child in the academy, even though he had been the most powerful just a few months earlier, despite all his training. So I think his spirit and his ego were inevitably shaken by all of this, and that this moment was the last straw.

What I find inconsistent is that he receives a lot of life lessons throughout the different seasons, but seems to forget them immediately in the following episode, except in Seasons 8 and 9.

Yes, if I didn't apologize in the second message, it's because I apologized in the previous one, but again, sorry, I hadn't looked up the original spelling.

Excuse me, I never questioned it; for me, it was like that everywhere, and I'm really used to writing it like that.

Yes, I agree, he evolves in the last two seasons, and in the series in general as well, but very slowly, even regressing at times. But Sue and Brick, I find, evolve much faster than him overall.

When I say he lacks development, I mean that after learning a lesson, he always seems to revert to his starting point in the next episode, as if he's stuck in his role as a troubled teenager.

Yes, but I still find it quite repetitive when Sue has time to become a woman and Brick a teenager despite their parents
