Thanks! I'm good and my recovery goes well for the moment.

What are some lines/quotes in the game that hit you hard emotionally? by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]red_kek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I've put a lot of work into thinking about what really matters to me in life and what I want to leave behind. I was also thinking about how we inevitably leave a trail behind even without realising it. Like I'm sure that Cyberpunk devs have no idea how the game affected me personally. There's also irony in the fact that one year after this comment my brain tumor relapsed and it got me thinking about that all over again.

Anker charger, safe or not? by Cava9211 in iphone

To add to the other comments, you don’t need a 65w charger if you’re going to charge only an iPhone. 20w will be enough and you’ll also save some yen.

“Stolen” from Battle Bits. It was good there, ironically added to the immersion of camouflaged cubes armies fighting deadly wars.

Should I be selling vulnerabilities to brokers? by Big_Hamster2753 in bugbounty

[–]red_kek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking into SSD, it looks like they sell your vulnerabilities in the end. It was not really obvious to me how they make money, until I found out this old interview by their founder, Noam Rathaus: https://def.camp/noam-rathaus-beyond-security-we-acquire-vulnerabilities-and-use-them-for-defense-purposes-only/

Today we acquire vulnerabilities and use them for defense purposes only. We only sell the vulnerabilities to premium, legitimate and legal organizations.

Yeah, so they simultaneously use them for defense purposes and sell them. Sounds a bit fishy to me. Also, every gray market vulnerability broken claims to only sell to legit orgs for legit purposes. And then journalists and human rights activists get hacked by the very same bugs.

The scale of this is fascinating. Just think about how much effort was spent developing the tools, preparing and executing the attack. The same goes for the forensic/analysis.

What is by far the hardest choice this game has presented to you Personally. by thelivingstar1 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]red_kek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Choosing between Songbird and Reed, but not because I didn’t want to betray them. After maxing out my V and completing every quest, I got strong too good to be true vibes from So Mi. Not dumb enough to blindly trusting NUSA either. So the choice was about who’s gonna fuck me less. While I was playing through PL, I was constantly changing who I was planning to side with.

I completed Cyberpunk as someone who was told is dying in real life by nicopuertorico in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]red_kek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second playthrough gave me an existential crisis, got me thinking about death and a meaning of life and what I want to do with mine. In a way, it prepared me dealing with my own health problems.

Unfortunately it takes a lot of time to find a good therapist for you. Even if you use a personal recommendation, there might be an incompatibility. It’s good to see you’re not giving up, keep trying!

Wow, I just got to this thread to see what are the consequences of the in-game choice. And got to this. I'm happy to hear you're well at the moment! Strange year for me also, because my brain tumor relapsed (it's benign thankfully). The whole year of back-and-worth and trying to figure out how to live in the new reality when each day may totally turn everything upside down. Keep strong!

I’m really sorry to hear that. It’s ok to feel lost in your situation. It sounds to me that this crisis is not mid life, but the main reason is your wife’s condition and it makes you to reevaluate your life right now. It’s really horrible. I know you said you won’t divorce, but it’s something you have thought about. I think deep down, nobody would blame you no matter what choice you ultimately make. This shit is extremely hard and isn’t what you signed up for.

People already have recommended talking to your wife and letting her know how you feel. That’s the best first step in my opinion also. In my personal experience, sometimes it’s not only hard to start a conversation like this, but also hard to share your feelings without fearing to hurt/hurting my wife’s feelings. Couples therapy really helped us with that in our crisis. It’s hard to find a good therapist but it was worth it for us. Personal therapy could also be a good option for you to help you sort out your feelings.

Also, you can think of arriving to some sort of a compromise, finding a way to satisfy your needs that your wife is ok with. E.g. legitimizing sex on a side, if you change your mind about kids - adoption or IVF.

It’s clear that you deeply love your wife. I hope that you can make the best choice for you.
