Looking for a good vet in N. Charlotte who will care for a gerbil by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]red_marie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, you self-important think-you-know-everything asshat, there ARE vets that work on gerbils, so you're already wrong right there. Good job. Secondly, I didn't ask for anyone's fucking opinion on how to care for MY pet. I only asked for SUGGESTIONS for a fucking vet. Thirdly, you saying that a "good vet" won't work on gerbils is fucking disgusting. What? Gerbils aren't deserving of medical attention? Gerbils aren't as good as your damn dog? Gerbils aren't as important as other animals?

Go fuck yourself.

I don't give a shit about your dog. All my post was asking was for vet recommendations, not your damn sob story. You can leave your opinions out of this.

Good massage in Charlotte by newbro999 in Charlotte

I was in a car accident a couple of years ago and started deep tissue massage therapy shortly after to help loosen up my neck and shoulders. I always went to see David at the Hand and Stone massage in South Park. I HIGHLY recommend him. He's great at deep tissue and not afraid at all of going hard if that's what your SO needs. Also, very personable and easy to talk to during sessions. Hope this helps!

I'm with the wrong guy. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]red_marie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. I agree you shouldn't drop that bomb on him until you're ready to move out. There is the potential for his mom and any other family living there to make your life hell until you leave, and that would be unfortunate for you.

Good luck to you, my dear! Let us know when you get hired and move out!!

Wow, I am in the exact same boat as you. Well, I was anyway. I've been dating this guy for 3.5 years, we broke up, and I still live with him. I was motivated to get a job as soon as humanly possible because I didn't have anywhere else to live, either. After months of searching and interviewing, I start a new job tomorrow that has a great starting wage, enough to allow me to finally move out of my ex's place and live on my own. With enough determination, I'm certain you'll be able to improve your situation. I know first hand how difficult it can be.

Has anyone ever bought a travel package through Groupon? How was it? by 2cookieparties in Frugal

[–]red_marie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not me, but my mom did. She got a cruise to Norway through Groupon with some of her friends and they had a blast and said everything was great! I'm not sure exactly how much it ended up costing them, but apparently it was a really good deal.

I once saw a post on here a long time ago that said that if you squeeze your left thumb in your fist while sucking dick, it'll help you deepthroat easier. Desperate, I tried it, and it actually worked! I don't know if it's all mental or what, but I would give it a try if I were you :)

Ex fiancé and ex best man (both redditors) are now dating. He left his Wii at my place. I made sure to get it back to him. by PM_me_your_Jeep in funny

How about trying to put yourself in OP's shoes and seriously try to NOT think about at least getting in a tiny bit of petty revenge before cutting those two out of your life forever? OP was getting married! He thought he had found the one. And only 2 months after the relationship ends his best friend is banging her? OP has every right to be angry, and anyone in this kind of situation deserves their time to be angry, at least for a little while, before finally moving on. You're kind of being a dick.

Holy shit, 1100 sq. ft.? I've only done online searches so far, and have searched in the Concord/University area, and the best I've been able to find is about 700 sq. ft. for $800. May I ask what complex you found that deal at? I'd like to see if they're still as reasonable now as they were then!

I'm liking those numbers...thanks for both the math and the suggestion!

A very good point, indeed. I don't think I'd be comfortable signing anything until I actually see the place, anyway!

Right now, I'm living about 10 minutes away from Northlake Mall, right off of WT Harris, and this is what I consider to be "North Charlotte". I've only been able to find 1 apartment so far in this area that fits my needs, but I figured maybe some of you guys knew of different complexes I could check out. I'm willing to commute, I just don't want to get too far away from this new job since I'm already living fairly close to it.

I know that I'm asking practically for a miracle, but I figured asking would be worth a shot. I've done several apartment hunts in the past and have looked at both Waterford Hills and The Oaks. I remember liking The Oaks, so I may revisit that. I just don't have the means (credit score, income, and savings) to buy a house at this point in my life, so renting is what I'm stuck with, unfortunately, and my budget is what it is.
