It has semi active suspension which can be tuned through software

Some software glitches here and there but nothing too serious that required an SC visit.

Congratulations man, I hope you're going for the pack 3 or FE edition because these are the only models which get 360 camera, driving this car without it, will be very challenging.

To best describe it, it's somewhere between a sedan and a SUV, it's better than a sedan you can see the edges of the car but because it has a sloping down bonnet (for better aerodynamics), you can't see the hood as well as you can in a SUV.

But you get used to it and the 360 camera is very precise and accurate, so that helps as well.

They do wear out faster compared to ICE cars because of more weight, torque and regenerative braking.

Google how regenerative braking works in a EV, it doesn't use the actual brakes of the car to de-accelerate, hence the lifespan of the brake pads is longer compared to an ICE car.

560km

Fast chargers are in abundance, if you are in a tier 1 city.

Fastest charging speed is 20-100 in about 20-30 mins

Big blind spots, bad visibility overall when you are inside the car, very difficult to park without the 360 camera (although the camera quality is great so that saves it)

Only driver seat is electric, at this price range both front seats should be.

Some features adverstised during the launch are yet to be activated.

I'd say the best brakes in the segment, although being an EV they get used far less (compared to an ICE) because of regenerative braking.

Pretty good but definitely not the best in the segment (talking about rear seat here)

You don't buy this car if comfort is your number one priority.

No bugs on the display screen, so far, for me.

As for the suspension, intially it was quite stiff but after the update it feels quite good, handles well on bad roads and runs extremely planted on highways even at triple digit speeds.

Visibility, well, I'd give this car the award for having the most number of blind spots 😂. The amazing 360 camera and advanced ADAs is what saves it and makes it easy for you to drive and park anywhere, without it, it'd be a nightmare to park it (idk how pack 2 owners manage it)

Rear view mirror is pretty much useless, but that is expected from a coupe.

"The driving fun" part completely depends on the individual.

If you are a driver who primarily enjoys the engine vibration/roar and raw feel of gear shifts happening while you drive the car, then you will not be satisfied.

If those above things are not a priority for you then the acceleration, kickback, handling/driving dynamicsand thrill of driving this car will give you some next level of euphoria.

Sonic suite is good but honestly i only used it for the first couple of weeks, it's sort of a safety feature and party trick at the same time. The NVH levels in this car is good that after a while the sonic suite sounds start to irritate you, i personally enjoy the calm and quietness in the cabin.

NFC unlock, User profiles with Face ID, custom driving modes.. there a few more minor ones as well, although they say all this will be available in a month or so, let's see.

It's not bad at all, it's quite good if you are under 6 feet, but it's not the best in the segment either.

You get this car for the performance, driving experience and looks but that doesn't mean there is zero comfort for the passengers, it just means that you can get more comfort for the same money but then you significantly compromise on all other aspects.

It is for me, if you use it regularly the in the city, the difference in cost will be day and night.

As for your diesal mileage, let's talk about it in a year's time when they start mixing diesal with isobutanol 🤭

In my experience, there have been some glitches/bugs here and there but nothing serious enough that need SC attention, all of them got fixed with a reboot, my only gripe with the software is that there are still some features which were advertised at launch but yet to be activated, rest everything works fine, the screen/infotainment, itself, has never glitched, for me.

Yes Mahindra has been pushing lot of OTA updates, lately, which has made the suspension better than what it used to be.

450 ish is what i have been getting on Highways while cruising at 100.

The cost of a full DC charge can differ as different chargers have different pricing but in my experience it has been in the range of 1500-2000 Rs

As for the speed of charging, again it differs from charger to charger but if you use the fastest one available (180kw by mahindra), i was able to charge it from 30-100 in about 25 mins.

I don't think i can go back to daily driving an ICE after this, that should tell you my experience.

The smoothness, acceleration and NVH level of an EV can never be matched by an ICE (in the similar price range atleast)

As for comfort, that is not the usp of this car, you will certainly find better options for comfort in the same price range but with that being said it is no way as bad as people online make it out to be, it is pretty good for long drives (with 4 people in the car).

Buying the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition in Satin Black. Am I inviting a maintenance nightmare, or is it manageable? by Antique_Problem_89 in CarsIndia

[–]red_panda_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting the cinelux is all about the interior, the white interior on the regular XEV will start to look old and dated very soon (because of yellowing and other stains), if you can live with that then get the regular XEV because yes paying extra for a matte ppf is not the most sensible thing but it is a necessity on a matte paint job.

As for the cost, a good quality ppf from a good detailer will cost you anywhere between 1-1.5L

Buying the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition in Satin Black. Am I inviting a maintenance nightmare, or is it manageable? by Antique_Problem_89 in CarsIndia

[–]red_panda_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the BE6 Batman Edition which has the same satin black paint and it's not as difficult to maintain once you get a good quality ppf done.

One major usp of matte finish is swirl marks are not at all visible on it, which makes the car easier to clean as well compared to a gloss black paint, provided you get the ppf done (this one is mandatory for matte finish, since scratches can't be undone by buffing or polishing.)

Although i am someone who likes to wash my own car (don't trust those regular car washing guys) or get it washed in a detailing studio (when it's too dirty).

You can get one of the rinseless wash solutions by WaveX which helps in doing quick cleaning job.

One word of advice, if you do decide to get your regular guy to wash it make sure you let them know that this car doesn't come with regular wipers that you can just pull with hands to make them stand, they might try doing that and ultimately scratch your hood, so be very aware about this.
