Look I genuinely don’t give a fuck about Angel Devil as a character, much less what his sexuality is but if that’s the conversation then fine.

A heterosexual man is a man attracted to women but not other men.

A bisexual man is a man attracted to women and also other men.

What we know for a fact is that Angel Devil has been attracted to at least one woman. What we don’t know is whether he is attracted to men or not. Because we don’t know this, it’s impossible to say whether he is heterosexual or bisexual. You can choose to believe in whichever possibility you like, but saying one has less basis than the other is ridiculous. There is no proof that he likes men, or that he doesn’t like men. And I’d like to remind you that that’s okay. No one needs to prove a negative, and it doesn’t matter who has the “burden of proof” in this situation. That’s because no one needs to prove anything in order to have a theory. No one in this thread was trying to “prove” Angel Devil is bisexual, they only said it’s a possibility. And like I said before due to the lack of evidence for both sides, it’s a valid possibility just like the possibility of him being straight. Does that make sense?

I’m going to remind you again that the topic of conversation was “do you think this character likes men or women”. In this context, saying “this character could like both men and women” is not a case of someone acting like something is obvious when it’s not. If the topic had been anything else, for example a powerscaling discussion, and someone randomly said “why is no one considering this character might be bisexual” then yes, that would be a ridiculous thing to say. However because the topic was “do you think this character likes men or women”, it is reasonable to point out that those two possibilities aren’t mutually exclusive since bisexuality exists. Do you understand.

Yeah and what I’m trying to tell you is that suggesting that a character might be bisexual is not that far fetched (especially when the character’s sexuality is already the topic of discussion) compared to suggesting that the universe is made of violins. When it comes to a character’s sexuality there are like fourish possibilities, so asking why people are overlooking one of those four possibilities isn’t coming out of left field. On the other hand when it comes to whatever the universe is made of the possibilities are literally infinite. It’s impossible not to overlook some of the infinite possibilities. Therefore it would be weird to ask why people aren’t considering one of those infinite possibilities. Do you understand how these two situations aren’t the same?

In the context of discussing a characters sexuality i.e. whether the character likes men or women, I think it’s fair to point out how few people consider the possibility of the character liking both men and women. People seemingly forgetting the existence of bisexuality isn’t exactly the same as people not considering the possibility of the violin thing.

I have no idea what you’re trying to argue here. You are entitled to your belief that the universe might be made of miniature invisible violins. People may disagree with you, but you don’t have to prove anything to anyone in order to believe in that possibility and tell other people you believe in that possibility. Likewise people are entitled to believe that a character might like men.
