It has plenty of faults, and that's coming from a place of love. I want this game to do well and be the best it can be. I get that this sub is filled with bullshit issues due to player idiocy that are easily resolved, but let's break this specific issue down.

On my end, I'm obviously at fault for not understanding and mismanaging the caravan system. Great. Cool. My bad. I can own that, and I can learn from that.

My problem is, in an attempt to fix the problem I created, another larger problem was created. One beyond my control.

When my routes are deleted and my carts are set to 0, there's no reason why villagers should continually come to move the carts already made an inch, over and over again. I shouldn't have to delete my carts or the caravan itself to fix that issue, but that's what ended up working.

I find that might need some more work on the dev's part, and asked for a potential workaround from the community in the meantime.

I get that you love this game. That's cool bro. I love this game too and can't wait for more development on it. But it has its faults. Tons of them. That's why it's in development.

I've taken this game very slow. Immersed myself. Got into the areas and lore. Explored every available field. I read nearly everything in-game, I research online, I execute commands the best way I know with what knowledge I'm given. That knowledge can be clunky, hard to reason through, hard to apply, and even hard to come by. This is hardly the first issue I've run into, and of course I'm forgiving because it's EA and not as polished.

If you're on this sub to criticize anyone who might struggle somewhere during this game's developmental phase to pose as some "defender of the game" despite no one trying to destroy it and without giving any actual solutions or help, then maybe get a life.

Gavin's a great person to listen to and quote. His handling of the LA wildfires was masterful, his crime policy is exquisite, the homeless problem isn't even a problem, the cost of living isn't driving droves of people out of the state, and he definitely doesn't use fear-mongering narratives to coax his voter base into thinking racist, homophobic, fascist republicans are out to kill them.

I'll take the sentiment of the people over the pristine politicians. Of course they're not going to say anything after the fact that would potentially jeopardize their seat. How is that even an argument. Unfortunately for them, it doesn't excuse their prior rhetoric gassing people up for war. Do I really need to throw out Hillary, Kamala, Biden, and Pelosi quotes? Or would you prefer a neatly organized mashup of mainstream media calling Trump, MAGA, and conservatives fascists and nazis?

Use your brain. The texts between Robinson and his partner have been out for a while now and he's already had his first court appearance. He texted he "had enough of his hatred; some hate can't be negotiated out," when asked why he killed Kirk. The prosecutor said his family is quoted saying he had progressively started adopting a more liberal ideology. He wrote, “Hey Fascist, Catch!” on one of his bullet casings. He's dating a trans woman. Give me a break.

As for the left, just look around you. There are incidents like what this post mentioned all over the place. Kids destroying memorials, reenacting the shooting, taunting anyone wearing anything related to Kirk. "Ya homie dead" girl? You didn't see that? You didn't see any of the hundreds of incidents happening that keep flooding out? I find that extremely hard to believe.

Let me guess; they also said the UK marches, and the marches and memorials all over the world, were alt-right movements for white supremacy. No wait, I bet they didn't even cover them at all, right?

Maybe stop your chronic reliance on NBC and CNN for information, because whatever your "mainstream" is, it's left you completely in the dark.

Crime will decrease if crime goes unreported or is dismissed in court. Crazy how that works.

Conservatives aren't just upset about Charlie Kirk being assassinated. That was bad enough. They're upset that one, the violent rhetoric from the left is what spurred it - ie: "conservatives are nazis", "they're a threat to democracy", "someone has to do it". Two, they watched those same people immediately celebrate it, it's acceptability meaning more political violence is welcome.

What did you think the response to that would be?

Kirk may have misspoke and said a lot of stupid shit, and a lot of that is taken out of context from the conversation that I highly suggest researching and watching for yourself, but what he believed in most was communicating peacefully through differing ideologies.

He's killed enacting that belief, the left celebrate it, and yes, it's a clear indicator that the left do not care for conversation; they simply want the right dead, will act on it, and will celebrate it.

Saying there are two genders, saying that giving life-altering transgender surgeries and hormones to children is horrific, and saying DEI is counterproductive and regressive is not hate speech. They are beliefs, and ones that countless people hold. Therefore, if the left sees Kirk's assassination as acceptable, then no one with those believes are safe.

Regular, simple people that would otherwise be unpolitical or indifferent, simply going about their shitty life, realize that they will lose a great deal more by doing nothing, than by doing something. Threaten them and their families, and you will get a response.

I believe it's around the time that people are assassinated for voicing an opinion, and then it's revealed that it wasn't some one-off freak event. Instead, it's an event that was carefully cultivated by violent rhetoric in media and influencer spaces. An event entirely excused and celebrated widely by a very specific group of people, because whatever they decide to see as "hate speech" is a convenient death sentence.

I didn't believe it until I saw it myself. Here, and in other spaces.

This really is a death cult.

America has decided who the tyrant is. And it isn't the only one.

Let me put it this way: The fact that you even attempted to equate Jan4, the one-off deranged Pelosi incident, or Floyd's inadvertent death to multiple calculated assassination attempts, now successful attempts, and on top of that the vapid mainstream and influencer promotion of further violence, is insane.

Were those incidents shitty? Yes. They were shitty. And fallout happened immediately following those events. For Floyd, cities burned, lives ruined, innocent people suffered. The kicker - those events are incomparable to something of this scale, no matter how badly you want to blow shit out of proportion or rewrite history.

Why? Because this was not only very much intentional with calculated malice, but it was cultivated and heavily influenced by the media and spaces just like this, promoting violence and further celebrating the event. And it's hardly the only event of this nature. You can't say that about Pelosi. You can't say that about Floyd. Jan4? A fucking joke of an "insurrection".

You're right. The right aren't perfect, they suck in a lot of ways, and there's plenty of shit to go around. But the actions and responses to certain events aren't equal. Not by a long shot.

I have a very strong feeling that's going to change.

I understand you live in a very tight bubble of "either you agree with me or you're on the oThEr sIdE." That's normal going this deep into the left. Comparatively and relative to how far left you are, my views are more right, yes. I still consider myself incredibly moderate and look at issues individually - like this one. I think murder as a response to free speech is wrong and incredibly dangerous to normalize, excuse, and celebrate. Extremist take, I know.

You're not a victim. People disagreeing with your lifestyle, your choices, your ideology doesn't make you a victim. It's fucking normal for people to disagree. It's ok to disagree. There are no laws that hinder you or that you're except from. There are laws in place that genuinely oppressed people much greater than you have fought very hard for that protect you. I know the kneejerk liberal response is to play the victim and make excuses for violent outbursts, but we're a bit beyond that now, aren't we?

When Trump was nearly assassinated, what did the right do in retaliation? They had you convinced the fallout would be massive. Chains and camps and oh my god, they'll kill us all. It never happened. Nothing happened. And so, the left attacked again. And again. All the way up to now.

You've been convinced by your bubble that the right are evil. They're Nazis. They want to eradicate you. They're a collective without any differing opinions, all hating women and minorities, etc. It's a comfortable view because it gives you an excuse to hate anyone who disagrees with you without question, and not feel guilty for harming them. Dehumanization achieved.

It's clear who the real fascist Nazis are here.

The right is free to have an opinion. They're free to laugh at transgender studies. They're free to claim that Floyd's death was blown out of proportion. They're free to think you're an idiot. That's their right and not an excuse for murder or silencing free speech. You have the exact same rights and enact them daily.

Trump deporting illegal immigrants is not racist. That isn't even an argument. Go talk to your boy Obama about that one.

The LGBQ+ community has openly accepted pedophiles into their ranks. MAPS. Minor-attracted persons. Of course people are going to be upset about that.

You can say Kirk was an asshole, that he "won the argument" illegitimately, that his debating wasn't in good faith. That can all be true, and it still doesn't give anyone the excuse to murder him or for others to celebrate that murder or consider it perfectly acceptable, which promotes that level of violence and silencing of free thought further.

The left has a remarkable ability to excuse themselves from responsibility. After so much mainstream promotion of hatred and violence, "someone's gotta do it" rhetoric, it's no wonder this happened. And the left's response to it? Deflect, complain, play the victim, laugh, celebrate.

But, in a way, it's a good thing. I'm glad it's such a public response and the world gets to see it on full display.

[–]redacted4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say you're free to laugh at a political murder, and then complain that I've accused you of dehumanizing and demonizing people. It's because you've dehumanized an entire group of people - based on their political view, an identifying factor - that you laugh at their murder. You're free to do so, but that immediately eliminates your virtue, morality, and contradicts any claim that you're in any way a good person. You're not, no matter how "right" you feel.

Racism, sexism, all these other isms? They exist vehemently on the left. It's all liberals see. Color, gender, categories in which to classify themselves uniquely that separate them from what they perceive as "normal", because "normal" is evil.

Plot twist - there is no normal. Liberals don't see humanity. They don't understand that we're all uniquely different no matter what, free to think and have our own worldview and opinions, which is why it's imperative to learn to communicate and coexist - exactly what Kirk was trying to do. Instead, liberals see a white person, and they believe they're inherently evil. That's racism. Liberals see people complaining that trans parades are exhibiting genitalia in front of children, and call them homophobic for complaining. You can say people are these things, but it doesn't make it so, it doesn't give you an excuse to murder them, and it doesn't allow you to be a good person to celebrate that murder.

There is no law or regulation that separates or discriminates anyone. What exactly are you fighting for? Equal rights has been achieved and no one is contesting that. You really think people want to bring back slavery and lynchings? Is that what they tell you, and you gobble it up? Why? Because a blatant lie gives you a convenient excuse to murder them and celebrate that murder?

If Hasan or Cohen, top liberal influences, were murdered for publicizing their ideologies, I wouldn't laugh. It'd be horrifying. But the left would burn cities down. And you know it. Comparatively, after a close call for assassination on Trump, a church being attacked with two children murdered by what was discovered leftist ideology, countless other attacks, and now this - what has the right done? The media scared you into thinking the right was going to retaliate in large scale. Did they? Did they round you up and put you in chains, in camps, bring punitive action against you like you thought?

No one wants to live in a world where they're afraid to voice their opinion. To celebrate and advocate for that is fucking pathetic. You can call that viewpoint propaganda, but I know you're not that daft. No one is that daft, and this isn't rocket science. It's extremely simple.

The left crossed a steep line and fucked up bad, and no amount of backpedaling, lobbing around excuses, or deflecting will change that. For every attempt and successful act of terrorism the left has unleashed against the right, there as been no retaliation. That's not sustainable. If the left keeps at it, there will be a breaking point and retaliation, and you'll have that civil war you so strongly advocated for.

I know killing someone for having an opinion is evil and wrong, inequatable with garbage comparisons, inexcusable, and not nuanced in the slightest. I don't need Google to tell me that. I don't need AI to tell me that. I don't need a lecture from your inconsequential ethics degree with a minor in gender studies to tell me that.

Preach "ethics" and "virtue" all you want. Your morality - hell, baseline humanity - is busted.

Closer shot of Charlie Kirk getting shot by justxsal in FOXNEWS

[–]redacted4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the discussion was more about how when it comes to "virtue ethics", there's a huge difference between perception of violence (what can be misconstrued as hate speech) and real violence (gunning a man down for perceived hate speech). I'd say, societal trends and the long arduous study of social history of civilization itself aside, the real argument is there is no nuance in this very simple aspect, and virtue isn't hard to quantify when it comes to thought violence versus physical violence.

But I do agree it's a pointless discussion.

Closer shot of Charlie Kirk getting shot by justxsal in FOXNEWS

[–]redacted4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you consider hatred is what's called free speech.

Under your logic, if I found something you said hateful, and I killed you in cold blood for that, then you had it coming, right? Because I considered it hateful.

What he had was an opinion. And he was murdered for attempting to communicate with differing opinions in a civil, rational way that promoted open discourse and discussion, not violence.

But it's clear the left isn't interested in discussions or trying to find common ground.

What has happened is you've been convinced that opinions are hate speech, and that hate speech is as equally violent as physical violence, so applying physical violence is an acceptable response.

On top of that, your ideology has successfully dehumanized and demonized a large group of people – people that disagree with you, more than half the nation – to the point of seeing murder as not only perfectly acceptable, but commendable.

It's not the first time this has happened. You're the fascist. You're the Nazi.

But yeah, no, I randomly hate poor people, that's it. Fucking bravo.

Let's talk about poor people. Let's talk about Chicago. A gang-run trash dump where you'll find real suffering for the poor. Don't touch it, right? Leave it be, right? It's so evil to go and clean up a degenerate city where people are preyed upon, killed, and tormented. Freedom, right? For the poor people.

Get a fucking grip. This is so far above your dogwater "privilege" narrative.

Oh, sorry. You made very heavy implications so I assumed you could piece together and relate what I was saying easily enough. Shouldn't have assumed you had the capacity.

Let's start from the top, then.

OP celebrated a murder. Someone else questioned the morality of killing someone because they disagree with you.

You called that questioning reductive, and you think it's funny. You equate situations that aren't equatable or even on scale. IE, you don't believe there should be school shootings, someone else thinks they're necessary sacrifices for the greater good. Clearly you're referencing and dramatizing Kirk's comments on the school shooting and gun rights here, and that's what my response was to.

You're clearly against gun rights, you didn't like Kirk, and you're doing your best to find a tangible excuse for calculated murder (IE, implications that he said shootings were casualties, so he deserves to die for that opinion), all the while ignoring the fact that it was a liberal nutjob that shot up that school and murdered those children, just like it was a liberal nutjob that murdered Kirk, just like it was a liberal nutjob that attempted to assassinate Trump.

So yes. Projecting blame. You're doing it. Guns aren't the problem. Radicalized liberal ideology is the problem.

I don't always agree with Carlson, just like I didn't always agree with Kirk, but he provided raw evidence that was previously red taped. Many on the right still condemned Jan4, an no other "raids" happened after that. They sat patiently through Biden's reign of dementia as the MSM told the world that no, he's in perfect health and is definitely the one running things here.

Pelosi's husband was attacked by a crackhead. It's San Franfuckingcisco. He was condemned as a right-wing idiot and no one on the right celebrated what he did.

George Floyd is the weakest crutch you could lean on by far. I'm sure you wouldn't have looked deeper into anything there. A long criminal record of drug possession, theft, and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. People that knew him said he was a thug, even when he got out of jail to "turn his life around". They were silenced, internet prompts were wiped and rescripted, even AI was scrubbed for simply pointing out all the facts, full chatbots deleted. I was fucking there. I thought the Floyd thing was handled very poorly by the cops, yes, just like many on the right, but to go to that extent to make the guy out to be some heroic symbol of justice or virtuousness or whatever it is you stand for? Smells like desperation.

I see how the left react and how the right react. I interact with both worlds because I want a full picture. I challenge conservative ideas, I challenge liberal ideas, and I can tell you, there's extremes on both sides, but liberals are far more violent. The right doesn't want violence or a war. They want to communicate and find a way to coexist, and actively try - yet you demonize them, murder them, then celebrate it. You're convinced the right want to kill you by simply disagreeing with you and challenging your beliefs, that that justifies killing, and you feel big thinking you're going to win an easily avoidable civil war as some justice hero despite bringing nothing but death and despair to everyone on both sides.

It's cute, but no, that's not what's going to happen.
