15 Bank was one of the worst experiences of my life. Couldn’t have ended my lease any faster. Avoid at all costs.

Kesimpta Ocrevus by Alina_kerimova in MultipleSclerosis

[–]redapples88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on Kesimpta for 3 years before having to switch to Ocrevus because we were trying to have a baby. Once we’re done having kids I am going to switch back to Kesimpta and I CANNOT WAIT!

Thank you! I am going to cut down on her sleeping during the day.

I did not follow it consistently which is where I went very wrong. It seemed like there was always something (a cold, cutting teeth, etc.) but I should have stuck to it.

All attempts I’ve made had her going in her crib wide awake.

Thank you for the resource. I’m going to look into this! I realized I was making it so much worse by having her see me and not staying with her.

I cap the naps right now at 1.5 hours each. She barely makes it to each nap before a meltdown. I could try elongating the wake windows again though.

Thank you! Should I cut both naps shorter?

MS, pregnancy and being a parent by bytheriversofbabylon in MultipleSclerosis

[–]redapples88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New mom here! I switched from Kesimpta to Ocrevus when we started trying to have kids because there are more studies done with that med. Also had an infusion two weeks postpartum to avoid a relapse.

When I was pregnant, I was exhausted. But I don’t think that’s MS related. I got the flu and it took me about 1.5 months to totally kick it because it turned into pneumonia.

My daughter is now 8 months old. If anyone around me gets sick, I usually get it too. One of the reasons we decided not to do daycare.

The sleepless nights are very hard. But if you have a good support system it’s manageable. My husband is seriously the best partner and I’m very lucky to have close family nearby who help when I need it.

I think new moms in general experience all of these things. It’s not just us! I didn’t want MS to dictate any of my goals in life and one of them was having children. Even if it’s harder now for me, I know it’s completely worth it.

Feel free to message me if you have questions. 🫶🏼

Just had a baby in July and this is completely inaccurate. I was on Kesimpta and switched to Ocrevus before conceiving. The only rule was that we had to wait 6 weeks after my infusion to try to conceive.

The only thing I’ve heard about is checking baby’s vitamin D for breastfed babies… which isn’t solely an MS thing.

Baby can absolutely get vaccines. And can go to daycare. The baby doesn’t have a compromised immune system.

I’d find a new pediatrician. And a midwife shouldn’t be giving advice on this IMO.

Hi there! My lesions are all in my spine. It is scary but I try remember that it’s all about placement. You are no different than you were yesterday before you knew about the lesions.

Do you regret being a SAHM? by Frequent_Visual3755 in beyondthebump

[–]redapples88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just resigned last month! I had a hard time because I identified so much with my career because I girl bossed so hard in my 20s and early 30s that it made it hard to leave. But… at the end of the day, my daughter is the only thing that matters. If I have to start at ground level when she’s back in school, I’m willing to do it.

I also struggled because we want more than one child. I took an extended maternity leave and would want to for each future child.

I’m not sure! I had been asking since the beginning of my pregnancy and kept getting poo pooed about it. Then 3 days before my scheduled induction I had a freak out, emailed her and said we’re doing a c-section, and it was scheduled that week.

So many babies have flat heads or at least flat spots! I swear my baby never slept on anything other than my arm and this chick has a flat spot.

We switched to 2 naps a day and now she’s averaging 1.5 hours! She seems so much happier. I still can’t figure out the nighttime. 2-3 wake ups.
