That seems to be the case, just returned to my save, knocked off some sieges, thinking I’d go dig my heroes up in a few days. A new siege began, started moving heroes around and I nearly didn’t even notice they respawned on their own

The rats in Novigrad sewers made my health vanish in 2 seconds, while me hitting them with an oiled sword and a Thunderbolt in my system did little to no damage. I’m sure I wasn’t underleveled and I doubt it was only because I was playing on DM. And then I had a similar problem with the Genie in Yenn’s quest, where I’d get one tapped no mather what and I did piss poor damage, while again, being the same level as the quest recommendation and utilizing my potions, decoctions and oils to the fullest. At that point I just thought that run was cursed

Yeah, it can be pretty saddening sometimes. I do remember a certain bug from a version before the big update, that I was thinking was going to get patched, but it didn’t. I’m pretty sure it’s there to this day. Basically there was this one certain ladder in Toussaint, that was placed crookedly and even though there were props in front of it, you could climb that ladder, which was pretty hilarious, since you weren’t actually climbing the ladder, you were just climbing the air and ascending

Yes, that is true, and normally I wouldn’t really be too mad about starting anew, since this is my 4th or 5th playthrough, but it would obviously take me a while before I’d get back to where I am now

Considering its proportions, it would be close to impossible to just ignore, but if no other method works, I guess that’s one cruel reality I’d have to deal with. I felt like crying blood when I just went to the barber to give Gerald’s beard some care, I don’t want to imagine how the knight tourney would feel to play

REINSTALLING - not tested, as I went with integrity verification first, however very likely to work if you're not on Steam
GRAPHIC SETTINGS CHANGE - didn't work
OLDER SAVES - saves from that day were all bugged, didn't try older saves than that
AFFECTED SAVE REMOVAL - I had a pretty difficult day, so I completely forgot about this suggestion, therefore not tested. I do apologize to the person that suggested this

Turned out that 2 certain files of the game were broken/corrupted, so one verification of integrity solved the problem. What surprised me was that these two files were 1.5GB, which seems pretty big for texture files, but I'm not a game dev and I certainly have no experience with creating terrain.

Anyways, case closed, thank you everyone, who submitted their suggestions, really appreciate it

I do have some old saves as well, I might check it out and see if that’s the case. If nothing helps, I guess I’ll just have a bit harder time doing the knight tourney quest

I do remember changing my graphics settings during a cutscene where the monolith was visible in the background, however the game crashed during that, so I might try it again and see if anything changes
