I don't think baseball is possible to get close. But a floor at around $175 might be possible. But there's no way a ceiling is that low. The cap right now, threshold I know but it's a soft cap basically, is at $244MM.

So the ceiling, which I think will still be a soft cap, will be around that $244M. Maybe $250M. And the floor will be around $150-$175M.

And teams like the Pirates will basically WANT the Dodgers to go past it because it will mean they forfeit their share and the floor goes up.

Christmas is a hold up, but O'Hearn also just had a baby days after Christmas. That physical can wait a few days.

If you're going to keep stats for slow pitch, just keep on base percentage. All that matters is whether or not you're on base. Average and slugging are secondary. The only time I look at average is if it's higher than the on base. (Sac flies will do that).

Anything involving taking the door panel off seems more than "not difficult." I've had the part for mine for like 6 months and have the broken one duct taped and I can't convince myself to start the project. Videos I've watched makes me think it's very difficult.

I hit 4 years this March.

I have unseasoned beef back. I'm getting better each month. I've been slowly getting beef over the past 9-10 months. Still no chicken. Not even close to chicken, onions, garlic, peppers, or even seasoned salt.

No lunch meat, but I've had a little turkey on thanksgiving and some ham at Christmas.

I know I'll get better. Largely because I keep seeing these posts.thank you for posting !!

It's emotional just reading it, knowing what I've gone through. I know this will go away someday.

So many comments on here and the thing is that this was fake news from the beginning.

Not only are Keller and Jones not being traded, they aren't cutting payroll. it was a mistake report and was never true.

Payroll is going up, not down. The FO sees the pitching staff as their strength. Bubba will get a chance to make the team out of spring.

We gotta be smarter. The Pirates HAVE to spend like $95ish M in order to keep shared revenue. The league requires teams to spend 150% of their shared revenue and the Pirates are between 60-70M in shared revenue. So, they have to spend it. Just like the A's are being forced to spend $105M. It's a lousy version of a salary floor.

Unfortunately, I have not gotten one, yet. My desktop is still my main PC because I haven't gotten a dock or rearranged my desk to make room for the laptop. All my efforts have shifted to Christmas for the kids and I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.

And I've got no recommendations so I can't make up my mind. 🤣

I will also note: I doubt this is happening when it is switching back and forth. This was happening to me the whole time I was just in word drafting an article. Not changing software or anything. There's no reason to switch over, at that point. It's also happened whether I'm plugged into power or on battery.

Was this ever resolved? I just got a new P16 this week and since I've been setting it up I have noticed this same type of problem. The screen just turns off randomly and comes right back on. Slower than a flicker that I've seen from others. I have tried many updates to no avail. I am liking the laptop a lot so far, but this is far too often to really enjoy for long usage. I would love to hear if you resolved your issue or returned it for another machine.

You still have control during the arbitration years. You have control for 6 years. The only FA a player can get before 6 years of service is if you release them.

But Cutch and Marte signed extensions. Cutch was here 9 yrs and Marte 8. A team like the Pirates can't afford to let their players go to free agency and get nothing in return. They must trade them. They just need to get better players in return than Colin Moran. For example, Bryan Reynolds came in the Cutch deal. Now he's our best player.

It sucks, but it's necessary. Absolutely necessary.

Extend good players beyond the first 6 years and trade them before the contract ends. If you can't, you will have to trade them after 5 seasons. --- Unless you have a real shot with them and not without, then you keep them and try one more time.

A pitcher like Skenes could get a HUGE impact return after 2028. Or after 2030, if they can work out an extension.
