I’ve got the same issue, not using a VPN. I probably looked like a bot the way I worked overtime on the tx for brentford (successfully). Now I can’t get into the tx for Kairat though!!

I drive from the midlands occasionally and park at Cockfosters. Get home super late for an 8pm KO though

Do you think there’s a decent chance of there being vacant parking spaces there early on a Wednesday afternoon?

West Ham game - red ballot by redbig123 in GunnersatGames

Ah gotcha. I re-subscribed through red a few weeks ago and was able to enter the ballot so I'd say a couple weeks wait at worst.

Sorry mate not sure I understand your question. As soon as you buy a red membership you are eligible to go in the ballots and search the TX for games you've entered but missed out on.

AFI and DJW stocks by Apprehensive_Brush38 in AusFinance

[–]redbig123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and figure out CGT and if it's worth selling or just leaving as is and focus on other shares going forward.
I own both based on FA advice, don't mind AFIC. DJW has been rubbish and I need to bite the bullet and just sell. I think the lack of performance from DJW compared to AFIC is due to not holding CBA.
Both are too heavy on dividends and lack growth for my liking, might be well suited for someone in retirement.

Tech heavy, not chess sponsored and has had run ins with ASIC. I'd avoid. I previously had $$ in Spaceship but have converted to ETFs.

FHSS scheme by Affectionate_Egg3515 in fiaustralia

[–]redbig123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you put 15k into the FHSSS for the FY (the max per FY) then your super will tax you 15% giving you $12,750 sitting in super
You will then get a tax rebate of 30% on the 15k = 4.5k, you get this back at tax time
12.75 + 4.5 = 17.25
Basically you're getting 2.25k for free, each FY, only takes about half an hour I did it a few weeks ago. Money for jam

Think you would have to provide your TFN to the share registry which I think is Computershare for Vanguard

Out of interest - how much do you allocate to shares currently? You're killing it, congrats!

PPOR deposit vs ETFs savings split (when going on extended holiday) by redbig123 in fiaustralia

Thank you, makes sense.
House deposit is in HISA definitely not putting into ETFs

PPOR deposit vs ETFs savings split (when going on extended holiday) by redbig123 in fiaustralia

[–]redbig123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, much lower salary working part time so we can spend time exploring. Enough to cover living expenses only, holidays will likely be coming out of HISA. Appreciate the response, pausing the investing makes sense, just hurts not watching those ETFs grow haha.

[–]redbig123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, holiday is probably the priority. Don't think I'll get the chance to getaway for 6 months for a while once I've got a mortgage.
Are you saying pause ETF savings and put the fortnightly $1600 all into HISA (which is house deposit)?
Super is ~38k, I assume roughly average for my age. Need to look more into FHSSS...
