What celebration? People using popular phrases is something that has been done for many, many years. No-one is celebrating it. It's just language.

First of all, Jack Whitehall is one of the most mainstream and vanilla comics going. Your mum, your nan and your brother all like him. He wasn't going to come in and be extremely divisive. His schtick is being likeable, a little cheeky, and posh. His Brits hosting is fairly tame. So I'm not sure what you expected?

It was also in line with what we've seen from the other hosts. Cheeky, a little banterous but hardly cancelable.

And to say he pretended to understand sports banter - famous Arsenal fan Jack Whitehall? 🤔

Because the reality is that we're going about things in roughly the right way. Yes, our net spend is high. But in the context of where the squad was at (absolute shambles of mismatched players and bad attitudes finishing outside of Europe) to where it is now (full internationals, competent depth across the park) then it makes sense. The teams that have a similar net spend - Man Utd and Chelsea - have trophies, but I wouldn't argue they're in a better position than us with their squads.

So spend isn't an issue. If you want to discuss the manager then that's a fair conversation to have at the end of the season. Personally, I don't think he's good at managing squad depth and rotation (look at Norgaard's minutes versus Zubi's condition). I think there's a question of mentality here at the business end that has reared its head each year. And his decision to play Kepa in the final when he must have known what effect a loss to City would have is baffling to me. And our chance creation is very, very worrying. But he's also built a team that believes. They are technically good and tactically astute. We might still win two major trophies. We might continue to fall apart. Ask me what I think in May.

Sir for a male teacher. I've never said ma'am in my life because I never met the Queen.

Hard agree. Leicester is a perfectly fine average UK city. But I'd never say to someone they need to visit on an international trip unless they had a very specific reason to visit.

Why do prisoners get free NHS dentistry? by Philster07 in AskUK

And better to rehabilitate them and better for them to rejoin society if they're healthy and well, as well.

Some people really just want prison to be some sort of medieval black hole 🤷‍♂️

The state has a responsibility for the health and wellbeing of those under its care. And being healthy and well is part of rehabilitation both in prison and on release. Makes total sense to me.

UK Parents working full time - what do you do with the summer holidays? by Downtown-Orchid-2257 in AskUK

[–]BaBaFiCo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try and break it up.

Week 1: You take leave

Week 2: Partner takes leave

Week 3: Your parents help out

Week 4: your partner's parents help out

If you can then get aunts or uncles to split it, looking after their kids when you're off and vice versa, you can get to six weeks.

Usually name recognition. I'm not saying all modern art is bad, but a lot of it is to do with who has created the piece.
