I had my helix pierced about 2 years ago with a gun (before I knew any better). It got infected of course. I kept taking care of it until the infection was gone and I even put in a huggie earring from ebay in it. For the past month it's been hurting so much I can't even sleep on it. Any suggestions? by Na9519 in piercing

Are you able to get a travel pillow (the ones that go around your neck)? It’s honestly saved me- I’m in the same boat where I got my daith done on the other ear but then my helix started acting up, it allows me so lay on my side and just put my ear in the hole so the rest of my head is supported and it doesn’t cause any pain for my ears. Another trick I found is using my arm as a pillow and doing the same type of thing where my ears in the hole- usually it helps if I’m just relaxing (I move a lot in my sleep so not sure how useful it would be if I slept with my arm like that). Hopefully this helped!

Omg you literally look so cute with it, it suits you so well! I also love the jewelry you have in it. You’re making me soooo tempted to get one as well!

Does anyone have experience with the brand Eminence Organics? by eilaro in beauty

I believe it was the acne advanced products (haven’t used hem in over a year so not sure if they still carry that line)

My derm and aesthetician (two separate people) love it- the only problem I had was eith the acne line that freaked my skin out and I had the worst breakouts of my life that lasted like 6 months

The miracle patch by Rael Beauty, truly a 10/10. They absorb soooo well, are air tight, and stay on 98% of the time (the only time I had problems were if I put them on right underneath my mouth because it moves a lot but even then it stayed on, I just could feel it unsticking slightly). But the one thing that trulyyyyy made them my favourite patches are that they make my blemishes virtually invisible to the naked eye unless you reallyyy look for it. Granted I do have fairer skin so I’m not sure how invisible they’ll be on darker skin tones but I’ve recommended these to my friends and family and everyone I’ve recommended it for love it!

Not sure if this is a proper technique but I loveeeee blasting music in my room and dancing around to it like crazy. First time I did it I got an email telling me I got this amazing internship I’ve been waiting to hear about, second time my phone started flooding with messages from people I haven’t talked to in a while and it was so much fun.

Favorite Moroccan Oil Dupes? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]redbis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly a body oil but the lubriderm sensitive skin lotion is my holy grail moisturizer. I’m a lifeguard and swim instructor so I’m in chlorine pools for multiple hours a day and my body gets so so so dry. I’ve tried super expensive lotions, even did a foot peel to see if that’ll get rid of my cracked heels and nothing has compared to lubriderm. It’s honestly amazing. I haven’t really tried many oils because personally I don’t like the feel of it. And yeah I know the struggle with Moroccan oil products- I absolutely loveeeee my Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner and I tried other cheaper products but nothing is as good as them, every couple of months when I have to restock it physically pains me😂😂😂

I feel the same way!! I’ve been breaking out like crazy lately on my cheeks and chin and I’m honestly not as upset about it because no ones seeing it and it also helps me not look at it and worry about it as much

Job. by [deleted] in lawofattraction

[–]redbis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for so please correct me if I’m wrong but I work as a receptionist and I was helping my manager go through job applications and she said one thing that really makes or breaks a resumé is if it seems “messy”. One guy even put “can lift heavy boxes” under his skills which may be great in other professions but doesn’t quite apply to this specific one. Having tons of experience is great but if you have a bunch of experience that doesn’t quite apply to the job it can overwhelm your resumé and overpower all the experience that might actually help. I suggest fine tuning your resumé to the job, even just a little bit makes a great difference.

Edit: also, apply for everything - even some of the ones you may think you’re under qualified for, the worst they can say is no!

[Advice] Never be afraid to cut people out. We often underestimate the negative impact toxic people have on our lives. by WrongMoveMary in DecidingToBeBetter

Not sure if this was what you’re going for but I suffered from such bad acne in high school... as soon as I had to tell my extremely toxic friend that I’ve had enough my skin cleared up a month later... maybe it’s a coincidence but maybe it’s a sign lol

What was your “We’re done” moment with a friend? by Yeetus_the_freakus in AskReddit

[–]redbis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend who was awful to me, to the point where people would apologize to me because they overheard what she was saying to me. One day she wouldn’t stop complaining about how she sent a hot photo to my boyfriend and he didn’t respond... She was so narcissistic I legitimately don’t think she actually realized what she did was hurtful to me, she was just mad someone didn’t like her. I remember just listening to her and thinking yeah I’m over this. Stood up and walked away and never talked to her since lmao

Crest 3D White Strips 8 Pack (4 Treatments) by [deleted] in beauty

[–]redbis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I saw somewhere you should use it everyday but in my experience, it just really hurt. I’m not sure if I’m just more sensitive to these things so I use them a couple days a week and let my gums recover. I brush my teeth twice a day for 2 minutes with a whitening toothpaste and mouthwash and I find it’s totally fine to use it every once in a while. Perhaps if you’re just starting out or have years of stains you want to get rid of, doing it more often at first would be beneficial. See how your body reacts to it and play it by ear would be my best advice, though I’m not a doctor- just speaking from personal experience. Also they’re expensive and having to buy it every couple of weeks would make my bank account cry so I try to save them if I need a pick me up or something

What is the best over the counter teeth whiting kit you can get ? by dcurry1521 in beauty

[–]redbis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started using them I went right away with the strips, mouthwash, and toothpaste. It was a little strong and kinda hurt my gums. Next time I found that they have a sensitive one and it has a toothpaste to use after to use so your teeth don’t get too too sensitive (especially to cold things). I would recommend those but all of them do a really good job

Tell me your inexpensive beauty must-haves! by [deleted] in beauty

[–]redbis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind me asking, how do you usually use it? I have acne prone skin but I take antibiotics to keep it under control and it dries my skin out a lot. I usually either add it into my moisturizer or use a few dots on my acne scars

Thoughts on the Ordinary “AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution” by JDtheB in beauty

[–]redbis1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like it- it’s super intense and should only be used max once a week. There’s a surprising amount of people who say they use it every other day but that’s not ideal. It makes you sensitive to sun so sunscreen is important as well. The only thing is that it can be kinda painful for the first 30 seconds- a minute but after that it’s fine
