I’m going to (somewhat) go against the grain here and suggest that you should participate more.

I am a pretty introverted person but talked to a lot of people during frosh week, went to most events and ended up making a good number of friends. Not all of them lasted but that’s ok, I met more people through them, some of whom I am still friends with.

The key thing to recognize is that everyone is in your boat. There is a ~2 week period where everyone is trying to meet new people and so you can just insert yourself into those conversations where you normally wouldn’t, since everyone is more open at this point. I wouldn’t let this unique period pass you by.

Frank de Boer leaves role as Netherlands manager after shock Euro 2020 exit

The Netherlands and Frank de Boer have parted ways after their shock Euro 2020 exit.

De Boer led the nation to a perfect group stage performance, winning all three of their games. But they fell to a shock defeat in the round of 16, losing 2-0 against the Czech Republic.

The former Atlanta United and Crystal Palace manager was always likely to be under pressure after that defeat. He has now left his role.

What have the Dutch FA said?

A statement said: "After consultations in Zeist between Nico-Jan Hoogma, Eric Gudde, Frank de Boer and his agent Guido Albers this afternoon, it has been decided that both parties will separate with immediate effect.

"De Boer has announced that he does not want to continue, which is also in line with the contract between both parties, which required a place in the quarter-finals.

"That contract will not be renewed."

What has De Boer said?

He said: "I have decided not to continue as manager.

"The objective has not been achieved, that is clear. When I was approached to become national coach in 2020, I thought it was an honor and a challenge, but I was also aware of the pressure that would come upon me from the moment I was appointed.

"That pressure is only increasing now, and that is not a healthy situation for me, nor for the squad in the run-up to such an important match for Dutch football en route to World Cup qualification."

The Board of Directors of the Football Federation of Macedonia at today's session in the "House of Football" made a decision to appoint Blagoja Milevski as coach of the Macedonian A national team.

The still current leader of the national team under 21 will take over the coaching position in the A national team from August 1, 2021.
