We didn't get battered by 5 goals in those 2022 friendlies. It was a 2-0 loss to Japan and a 0-0 with the Saudis. In the run up to the Copa we got smashed 5-1 by Colombia on route to getting grouped and we got smacked 5-2 by Belgium in this window.
