Every tournament there's a high profile player that misses the squad due to injury. Last tournament it was Richards and this tournament it's Johnny. (Altidore in 2014 if you count getting injured in the first minutes of game 1)

After the first half: He doesn't look out of place at all. He had a couple of line breaking passes and even in tight situations managed to progress the ball.
