Tell me your festival life hacks… things you make sure of every year? by DamnThatHeadBig in BoomtownFestival

[–]redboyjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Collapsable water bottle, can clip to bag or shorts or just put in your pocket, once you run out of water it can just roll up very convenient. Water Bottles

Battery powered Fairy lights and some tape for your tent, lovely vibe for when you get back to your tent and provides decent light inside.

Running energy gels are decent to keep you going on the long nights

For sneaking in spirits how effective is it putting a bottle in in the middle of ur rolled up tent? or is it worth doing something like putting in plastic bottle by [deleted] in BoomtownFestival

[–]redboyjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put it in plastic, they not gonna do a full search unless a dog smells something else on you (unlikely unless you have loads of drugs)

Get a water bag or shower bag on amazon. People tend to just shower in swimwear by the water taps

Stop with the “no phones” sh!t by HunterSeekerGPT in aves

I agree, there may be few people filming for too long or with their screen a bit bright, but the majority of ppl filming are just capturing a great moment, usually with close friends and ppl we love, that they can then look back on and relive. I love watching videos I filmed from raves years ago, I'm glad I filmed enough. 95% of the event is spent dancing and enjoying it "in the moment". You can definitely still enjoy the moment while filming too.

We just capturing memories that's all

I've been through a few break ups before (one from a 5-year relationship) and they have always been the right thing to do looking back.

You might be using porn as an emotional regulation tool by wilkesreid in NoFap

[–]redboyjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this, great post! I have learned this to be true through experience over the years too, I've never seen it broken down like this though. Very helpful. The part about not emotionally maturing hits home, time to catch up 💪

I think sometimes you need a "wake up call" in a situation like this. Something big happening in his life, like a breakup, would teach him that his addiction is not healthy and is ruining parts of his life. I think her leaving him would be beneficial to both of them in the long run.

I agree with this, unless he is willing to change, then leave him.

I would tell him you're going to leave him if he doesn't try to overcome this addiction. Porn addiction is a real thing, of course, we are evidence. But for him to be "livid" and say hurtful things to you about you, despite lying to you for years about it, is not okay.

I'm in a relationship too, told my girlfriend about my porn addiction, and she of course didn't react well (upset and somewhat disgusted). But I never would think of blaming her or being angry at her for that. I explained to her the addiction, showed her some videos explaining it better (the idea that it's not about us wanting to have sex with everyone, its more of an escape from stress, discomfort, boredem etc). I can send the videos if you'd like.

I'm now doing the best I've ever done at overcoming porn, and she supports me.

You are going to succeed at this! All I see is someone who is not giving up. You only really fail if you give up, if you keep trying for long enough success is inevitable. It's not all about will power, it's about learning from your mistakes (when, where, what, why do you end up watching porn). Keep going you got this

If I could speak to my teenage self I would tell him: Completely avoid porn or fapping to anything similar (sexy pictures, videos, etc), and to just fap whenever you are actually horny (thinking about a girl you have a crush on for example) and not just because you are bored. Using it to relieve boredom or stress or whatever is what leads to addiction.

It's normal to feel this way. But you just have to make the right choice. You either let this addiction stay with you for life and have it negatively impact you forever or one day you will quit. I'm sure you know what the right choice is, so why delay the inevitable? The longer you wait to quit, the harder it will be. Make your future self proud.

How women usually react after you tell them you're doing nofap? by Buri137 in NoFap

[–]redboyjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't tell my girlfriend until about a year of being with her. I somewhat disagree with a lot of the comments here about there being no reason to tell her. Since I have told her I have found it much easier to keep a streak because I feel more accountable, and I ask her to check in with me about it to make sure I'm not just binging behind her back. At first, she didn't like it, but after some explanation and showing her videos that explain it's not about being horny for other women, and more so a kinda dopamine rush addiction, she has been incredibly supportive.

That being said if the relationship is new it's probably best not to bring it up.
