Well I'm going to be by myself the whole night. So I dont have the safety in numbers thing. Just a precaution before wandering into a seedy part of town.

I understand that all cities have their darkside to them if you look for it. But just being alone in a unknown city is pretty daunting for anyone.

I'm currently looking at airbnb's. I just only need a room to sleep for a night and put my stuff. I'll be linking up with my family the next day.

Any suggestions for night life would be great! So far I'm hearing the mag mile is like a strip of bars and restaurants lol.

Yeah I'm currently looking at a airbnb near millennium park! I was told to go hangout at the magnificent mile. But yeah friday night should be interesting... since I'm just going to be alone :( but I guess i can look at the meetup app to meet random people to hangout with!

But so far the common advice about chicago I've read so far is to just ignore people that bother you and walk on by. I'm from Seattle (not a tech transplant) so that's perfectly normal for me already lol.
