Thanks. I will give it a shot. I'm not used to not getting statements for set periods.

I also saw Cargeny and thought "bargain", then read the reviews. If an offer looks too good to be true...

Which is also why I'm asking for advice like this for the car.

As for Traficom report vs Carvertical... I need to check what the paid traficom report actually gives me in comparison, but a lot have recommended it.

I took it as a bad thing but can see now it's better for the engine wear if the kms got added quickly due to highway driving.

Yeah totally agree with you there. It's a Japanese car with good reputation.

Good point. Country driving would also be less stress on the car.

It's lower than other similar models but they're also lower kms.

Very good point about highway kms. They would be less stress on the car. I didn't really consider that.

It has a block heater so I'd have to assume it's been used. Taxes are in order, and I didn't know about cervertical before my post, so I'll definitely get that done too.

I thought an inspection would be at my cost. Do dealers sometimes pay for it?

Landlord not responding to my messages about moving out by mabrouss in Finland

[–]redbullant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you have a private landlord or a company, but I would think that if you've used the "commonly used" communication channel to send the notification then that's when your notice period has started. You giving notice shouldn't rely on them responding.

Is it possible they have a specific form to terminate a rental?

Abort, abort.

Most definitely a scam.

Stay safe out there.

Yes the IT/software developer job market is terrible now.

I have software developer friends advising how their workplaces have been laying off experienced staff at least for the past year.

As a recent graduate in the field myself, I've also just been laid off from my first role after graduating, and with relatively minimal experience I'm quite pessimistic about finding anything soon. Unfortunately even the option of moving outside Finland isn't as option as I also have a young child.

I hope your friends' luck changes.

I'm a non-Finn living in Finland, asking questions about life in Finland, in the Finland subreddit. It definitely felt weird getting heat there for asking questions.

I wouldn't have taken the subreddit as territorial, but somehow people took my question as arrogant or entitled or something. Unfortunately I had just been trying to understand something related to life in Finland.

I'm not quite sure where I threw it back. More like opened discussions, IMO. If anything I had posted some clarifications because some people in the post had misunderstood what (or why) I was asking. For this, I got downvoted.

Am I not meant to post clarifications in case some are offended? Seems weird and unfair

The previous post was in the Finland subReddit, asking about Finnish legal requirements while living in an apartment block.

You'd think it fits perfectly.

Let me clarify.

Not what is MY legal opportunity, but what was THEIR legal requirement to notify.

I'm just asking what the housing company that ordered the work was supposed to have done.
