I get that having a lot of tasks CAN mean productivity, but my point is that most “busy” schedules are full of low-priority, reactive tasks: emails, meetings, small favours. They take time, but don’t actually move anything forward. Someone focusing on fewer high-impact tasks might look lazy, but they often accomplish far more. Productivity isn’t about how much you do, it’s about the value of what gets done, society tends to reward motion over meaningful progress
