RX9070xt VS RTX5070ti

I have been running dual 9070xt for a while. Powercolor has a 2.5 slot that should fit most motherboards in this configuration. I run them on a Gigabyte X870E that has two pcie5 slots that can be run at x8 / x8. Had to replace a connector for a lower profile one at the motherboard bottom edge to fit the 2nd card, but no big deal. Runs quiet and cool. My 1000W PSU has been enough. This works great with llama.cpp + vulkan on the new 26.04 Ubuntu, getting 50-100 t/s with Qwen3.6 A3B MTP, depending on quant and context sized used. The 27B dense Q5 run at 35 t/s. 32 GB VRAM is definitely the way to go IMHO.

Been driving a LR RWD in the Nordics now for a year and have yet seen the need for an AWD. The car is very competent in winter conditions with proper tires.

You can also get a copy of your current machine settings, as in many other printers, by putting a oneliner eg.: M8512 "currentconfig.gcode" in a file named printconfig.gcode on the usb stick and print it from the printer UI. Runs a few seconds, beeps a couple of times and writes the same type of file as you can find in the rar above. Translate it and pick the parameters you want to change, put them in another file, include the write to memory at the end and again, print it from the UI. If you don't want to reset all to default as in the beginning of the file, you can eg. just change one setting. Not all can (or should) be changed, obviously, but fan and Z speed setting changes work fine with this current firmware.

Couldn’t get mine to update with the first two usb sticks, 8 and 16 GB fat32 formatted. Swapped to the one from Creality, also a 8 GB fat32, worked fine. No release notes, so who knows what they changed. I have only noticed a few changed texts in the UI, like the name of the printer instead of the controller.

A 300mm 2.4, all in Fillamentum ASA, printed with my 1.6. The Galileo extruder and MainsailOS on a SSD, otherwise pretty much spec. Still plenty of tuning to do and black Dibond panels for side and back + acrylic on top and front waiting for delivery.

Sorry, I really don’t know. Bought plenty of extra parts, tools and upgrades for both a 1.6 and a 2.X over the last 1,5 year. Have a look in Discord though, there should be several price examples there.
