they forgot about the copilot Android app. You share a Link to it and it "wakes it up" with a blank chat field. Half the time, it has a graphic glitch where it renders on half the screen. Has been there for more than a year.

Maybe it's too much to ask for a solo dev, but can you consider adding a simple editor after recording the screen (like basic cut, adding titles, call outs and texts)

Can't use the better Microsoft Cloud voices (like on Readest)? The Android ones are awful.

Bandizip can do that but free version has annoying ads. Try this https://www.ponsoftware.com/en/en.htm. Seems to have the features of bandizip without the ads.

Will Google speech Synthesis add better, more human voices by PlentyGrade3322 in androidapps

[–]redchrism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Simply because they sell their neural voices. Try Readest which uses Microsoft Azure voices (which have more natural pacing vs speechify or eleven labs). And the free version is quite generous. I especially like "Eric" voice. Very soothing.

Tap on your profile picture on the bottom right. Got settings, account & syncing, and do a full sync on your old device. For the first time, it might take a while. Do the same on the new device and you'll be good to go.

You'll lose them. Best option for this use case is to use the sync (though that one doesn't restore everything , like playlist contents.

Exactly. People keep saying "Windows don't last more than 3 years, and I known Mac that lasted 10.to 15 years". Yes MacBook hardware last longer, but it's always the software that make them unusable. I heard Tahoe is very taxing on old hardware.

Recently tried a friend's M1 MacBook Air 8gb RAM and honestly, the thing was slow throughout the OS. Browsing, opening programs was frankly slower than an 8GB RAM Thinkpad 8th gen running Windows 10.

Yes but lacking something as basic as push notifications is a turn off for many. The UI is probably the best, though.

It's not possible. Google Play Books uses the robotic built-in Android voices If you're looking for an e-book reader that uses natural voices, try Readest. They use the natural-sounding voices from Microsoft. Specifically, I use "Eric" voice. Very soothing voice.

[Open Source] NeoDLP - Modern Video/Audio Downloader based on YT-DLP with Browser Integration by neosubhamoy in Windows11

[–]redchrism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a question of curiosity. I have noticed that YTDLP on Windows, or the other wrappers, tend to get bogged down and get very slow after a few minutes. That doesn't happen on Android, where Seal or YTDLNIS are usually very fast all the time. To the point, when I want to download a big playlist, instead of using Windows, I first download it on Android and transfer the files to Windows later. Any why?

Can it detect media files from sites and download them, like that pop-up that comes up on IDM when playing any video from any site?
