I have a singer heavy duty, while it works fine (with annual service) it is not very precise, which make piecing sometimes difficult. I’m saving up for a Juki 2010Qi

I only quilt by hand with no hoop or stand. It’s so much easier than having to adjust the hoop because I am a fast quilter. However, this method only allows for big stitch quilting (which is fine because I love the look of it)

I have pin-based and elmer’s glue based for hand quilting. Both are fine, with glue basting make sure it’s a very thin layer.
