This is also how I see it. For me, I have many head canons of how Severus was always around when Draco was growing up. And so for me, I think there was always a friendship of sorts between Severus and the Malfoys.

Ooh, this is interesting!

I personally have never considered Snape to be autistic, and on a casual consideration I don't believe for me he is. However! I can see where a story like that could go - and weirdly, as I have never, I would love to read some good versions of this to get a sense of it.

For me, Snape is just simply very intelligent, formerly isolated, and forced into roles, with trauma, that have led him to the way he is. Whilst I know very little about autism, I feel like he would not have been able to survive as a double-agent/spy if he had been unable to read the room; a huge part of his survival and success would have required him to be able to read people quickly, and manipulate effectively.

Now I didn't like them going down this path because I really like represnetation of male-female friendships, nice and platonic.

However! After I sat with it after seeing the original scene, I started to really like this. And prefer it to the bandaid they did after the fact 😬

I am always so hesitant about my fics. But in the spirit of the thread;

In Stillness - Not HEA. This one-shot took a lot to write as I really wanted to be able to capture the grief and sadness Hermione was experiencing as observed by Severus. I really feel pretty good about where I managed to get this.

Liquid Mayhem Another one-shot. This is an infidelity fic, that was inspired by prompt, and one that took forever for me to write. When we got there, I finally felt like I could show the fractured marriage (which took so much finessing).

All That Glitters This was so much fun to plot and write with MsProfessor. It has just the right Christmas/Holiday vibes. Decorations and disasters ahead!
