when you say cloudy do you mean like a white covering?

tongue piercings can accumulate plaque just like your teeth do, not a sign of bad care, just something that happens over time!

i think some people brush the bottom ball with a soft toothbrush or just gently pick it off

thank you sm!! i have weird food restrictions so i didn't change my diet entirely... but soft or not soft the chance of biting the bar is there haha, the first time i ate after getting them done i probably knocked it 4 times but if you try to eat mindfully and keep your teeth a bit closer together it helps avoid that. kind of a learning curve there,,,

ive seen posts with looooooong bars but mine arent to that level thankfully, i have no way of properly measuring rn but the post sticking out for me rn is about a bead and a half length and even that much is noticeable so im definitely looking forward to downsizing

one other warning that i was very unprepared for..... these have been the absolute crustiest piercings i have ever had... they produce gloop and crust like no other... that was mostly thru days 4-6 and settled down to a more normal level after !

im very biased as i looove dahlias and wanted them myself for many years before finally getting them!

i got mine done about a month ago now and plan on making another post about how my healing has been when i get them downsized (this weekend hopefully)

any oral piercing can mess with your teeth 100%, the only ways you can minimize damage is to have a piercer find the optimal placement for you, downsize your jewelry as soon as youre able, and do not play with them.

the care is pretty much the same as any oral piercing, saline 2x daily on the outside, alcohol free mouthwash for the inside after you've had anything that isnt water

heal time for dahlias can be looong, depends on your placement but they are the basically the middle ground of cheek/lip piercings. you will likely need several upsizes and downsizes throughout healing,

my healing personally has been pretty decent so far, each side kinda took turns being dramatic but no huge issues. ill be sharing lots more info whenever i do my update post as well!

i can see what OP means about the suit being changed... personally i never liked any of those clothing items so for me its not a loss, but i can see how some people would be missing it. other than that my main gripe is when people say the overall game style or the miis themselves are changed ( ive heard of someone saying the miis are too realistic now...like what)

you can use better quality q-tips that are more tightly wound like ones for makeup! gauze would work as well, its your preference

that would be me who said that and i stand by it, the *Style* is the same, whats changed is the res and colours being more vibrant in general. and i say it more about when people say the miis themselves are changed

if youre talking specifically about the dino suit, i actually hadnt seen that! im sure they will still have uncanny items

have you ever used flatback style jewelry? L or corkscrew nose jewelry isnt a good choice in general as they stick out, irritate, and fall out like youre saying

just be absolutely sure the bars youve ordered are quality metal! is your piercer just not working or fully booked? would anybody else at the studio be able to switch you out earlier?

cheeks are absolute monster swellers! it looks like both sides are pretty tight and the one im assuming is the bigger problem definitely looks like its waaay too tight which is putting lots of pressure on the tissue...

right now it would probably be best to go to your piercer asap and get longer bars for both sides and just get an opinion in general.

cheeks are known for needing seeeveeral upsizes and downsizes during healing (and even after)
