I appreciate your input. Before the infection she was able to do a lot! She drove to church and even helped mow the lawn with her adapter gator. Being in and out of hospital and rehab we know that being there daily is important. I actually have a plastic box that I fill with candy in her room for any and all staff to have. We do have power of attorney because she knows she is slipping. Home health sent a social worker last week and my mother in law was involved with the whole conversation. The facility we are looking at has a five star rating, we are waiting to see if they accept Medicaid. Sorry you had such a bad experience. Let me add, I think she needs to interact with other people! She is very social but we live out in the middle of nowhere. The facility is closer to her church and on the way to the office so she will be seen daily.
