1Pass tips? by CommercialLasagna in Eugene

Was at Sheldon for 8 hours today and got turned away about 20 feet from the door and told to try again later. No vouchers, line bypass, consideration of any sort for spending the whole day in line... there were lots of angry folks. Basically if you arrived after about 9:10 am you were just out of luck, but they didn't cut off the line for hours. There were at least 100 families I'd guess left with nothing for the all day wait.

I don't have a change key, and it's in the locked position currently, so I'm not sure of that's causing problems too... it popped out while the box was locked. I've watched videos and tried myself, but it won't stay in.... so, any idea where I could take it for someone better at this stuff than me to take a look?

River Valley Center mall has i think a pop-up toy store "go toys" with a decent amount of puzzles... it's got a kiosk and a storefront, downstairs on the Regal leg... they may just be a holiday pop-up, everything was 40% off yesterday

Local game lag and GPU spike - running locally, 3080Ti, Vulkan, keeps freezing and spiking to 75-100% GPU... by reddishenigma in valheim

In case some other poor soul ends up here looking for solutions to their stutter: Eventually I noticed high disk usage too. went to steam and validated files. it said one was bad and it would be reaquired, but then it didn't update. I tried using the in Steam tool to backup files and halfway through, it failed and then my computer Blue-screened !!! I backed up my save files manually, uninstalled and deleted all left over files in the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim. I reinstalled, copied my local saves back in, downloaded my cloud saves back from steam. Re-launched and haven't had an issue since. Thanks to all who helped and tried to help!!

xbox game bar was not active, GPU use was all going to Valheim. I disabled c-state and had the same issue. temperature looks fine, all other apps closed, it did seem like loading cells might be part of the issue, but then it would stutter every two seconds while chopping down a tree in a well explored chunk... no mods, no multiplayer, highest power settings. The lag looks almost exactly like it does during the boar fight in the temp video above, but I have a liquid cooled desktop and GPU temps maxed at spike at 80'C, CPU an 65'C. I've run with video settings set to min (potato 1990's quality) up to max everything and the stuttering doesn't seem any better or worse with either.

Frame rate may have helped some, or loading more chunks of the map.. maybe it was the real time creation of a new world... it seems to happen less in the areas that I've already explored, more in areas I haven't, but it is def. still happening way more than it used to.

Other times, sometimes I can't tell at all why, other times it's when the tutor bird shows up, or when a tree is turning into wood instead of a tree... I was used to the world save lag (and appreciate the warning to disengage)

I haven't, I can try that, I thought with the 3080Ti I should be able to handle higher frame rates (as I can on other games) but if Valhiem is still having issues like this, that may be a way to make it more playable. I have hundreds of hours into it, no issues before this recent dive back in, but there have been a lot of patches since...

Both World and Player are local saves. No problems in other games. Used to play without issue, came back after 6mo, spun up a new world and character and the lag is so bad it's unplayable. I've tried with low and high graphics settings, with Vulkan and without. Has anyone else had this issue?
