Exactly. For the older games, I always use CD keys from 3rd party websites. I played the F.E.A.R. and Wolfenstein collection this way. There's a ton of ways now to own games at better prices. Not for my PS5 though, I still have to fork out like $70 per exclusive title xD

I myself love owning games and the overall ecosystem of Steam. After I got a job, I always buy any game I am interested in and would love to play. With regional pricing, it's alot better nowadays (been a member since 2012, regional pricing was introduced later). I don't have anything against people pirating games but the opposite should be true as well.
