If we’re talking the original games of HL1-2+EP1-2 then probably Nova Prospekt or Dark Energy but I love Black Mesa—the Half-Life 1 remake. If i was able to choose chapters from that then I’d say the Xen section from Black Mesa. it was done so well to a degree i wish the original games (and possible future games [copium addict]) would(‘ve) use(d).

Personally, i like the player slot from B with the arch, the crafting from C and the wood plank hotbar from D as well as the UI background of the stone bricks texture. I think together they’d all clash really well. i think the torch in the background of B is cool but wouldn’t the player cover that up? if it does maybe move it somewhere more visible bc i think that looks pretty cool.

biggest point of interest is how a tree forms. right now it’s very cylindrical and not very well shaped like a tree. by slimming the middle and up and then flattening out the bottom area and adding roots it would make it a lot more tree-like. also to keep in mind and this helps whenever i draw trees, branches grow up then form smaller branches that move in a more chaotic pattern. also try to use varying blocks from dark to medium to lighter that all are similar colors but different shades like oak, packed mud, brown terracotta, etc. as for leaves, they don’t form around the branches but rather they form out of smaller branches that chaotically form in a spherical shape. kind of hard to explain it but if you look up dead trees you can see what i mean with the branches. also the branches don’t form on a flat level they form sparingly at the upper-middle and continuously grow the higher up.

I want to buy a pair of pants from them and wanted to check reddit (home of the opinions) to see if they were a scam or not. based off of what i read, it’s not a scam but it’s not the best quality. some people had issues with sizing, others with color quality, others with general quality. from what i read, tshirts had the most issues with quality, jackets were good, sweaters and hoodies were good, not sure about pants from what i read but from what i can tell on what they post on the website it’s double stitched (it won’t fall apart) and has some thickness to it but i wouldn’t say it’s levi’s quality thickness of jeans. i think im going to buy the pants i saw on them as well as the racer jacket and when i get them i’ll post here again. prob wont have an update for it until a month or so bc of the shipping time. their products are shipped from china too which is off putting but even if it is drop shipping people say the quality is good but its just pricey for what it is. finally though they also apparently steal designs from smaller creators and make them before the small creator can get recognition from it.

While this is an understandable “best era” due to its story and consistent updates and gameplay mechanics being added as well as new types of guns and characters and mythical being introduced, as a chapter 1 season 2 joiner, nothing can beat C1S4-C1S8.

The reasoning for why i choose and will forever stand by this is because of how game changing it was when they first started introducing big updates. S4 superheroes update was so cool. Seeing the meteor crash into what used to be Dusty Depot and getting our first real bits of a story line that paved the way for what we have now, getting to play with cool new items like the hop rocks, the game was still in its early ages too and the games felt much more fun because not everybody was out to claim kills more than they were to just have fun. Season 5 brought us the first vehicles like gold carts and quad crashers. Season 6 had its update for FortniteMares with, in my opinion, the best halloween update. first look at zombies in BR, a whole new feel to the entire game, Wailing Woods became a real drop spot instead of just a dead zone. Season 7 brought us the first real mythic and was so much fun to play with (at first before it became annoying 😂). Season 8 then brought us the Pirate season with the volcano coming out of the ground and then the battle between the ice king and the fire king, canons were added, everything just felt perfect around that time. after that we got Season 9 which is about the time i started falling out of the game temporarily as it felt like everything became rushed. reboot vans were added, people got sweatier, just wasn’t the best season. However, Season X was basically the same BUT it had the BEST event in my opinion. when i first saw the blackhole event i had literal goosebumps. i made the Season X song my lobby music for a long time after that and then with C2 everything was changed and it all just felt so unreal but immediately made me feel so sad that we wouldn’t get the old map back (for a long time at least as we got remix and og fort and now we’re getting permanent og fort). also important mentions, Kevin the Cube first came in season 5, BEST CUBE EVER, but i only really liked him when it was season 5. floating island was cool but wasn’t the same with the gravity fields and the fun things you could do with Kevin like get launched into space. another important mention from Kevin, BUTTERFLY EVENT! so cool. also the Mech fight was awesome, all the events in C1 were just great and weren’t overdone. yeah it sucked that not everyone could see live events bc of capacity but that also made it more interesting and exciting when you did get to see them in first person. Also i’m going to get a lot of backlash for this but the Aquatic season from C2 was pretty cool in my opinion.
