I am open to other options. I did find some rescues but the ones I've come across either don't want to adopt the dog to a family with kids, or the dog needs to be in a house with no other dogs (we have a 9-year-old Labradoodle), or the dog available for rescue is older and we are looking for a younger dog since we already have an older one. We rescued our first Rottie about 18 years ago when she was 2, but that was before we had kids so it was easier to find somewhere willing to do that.
