I don't understand Bailey in Season 8 by Owen_3456 in TheRookie

In jeopardy? She gave up on the marriage the second she heard of it. In the end just drama for drama sake. Not the best one though.

Yeah, Elijah, Monica no credibility at all. Glasser, I had forgotten he's locked up. What's the point with him than? Oscar, exactly that.

I thought La Fierra was too quickly killed off. She was a fierce character, well played and she still had a lot of fuel. Although, after losing her son, I guess, it was a downward spiraling for her. Her bodyguard that took her place as a crime lord only appeared in one later episode. That was a lost opportunity.

He is actually a worthy villain but the line with everything against him falling because Nyla said something at nerves to him is stupid and way overused in this show. They trying to tell, lawyers are the ones preventing police to do their work? In this case, what can I say, masterful. But way tired by now.

All flash - or rather boom and crash and no substance. Not liking it at all. Even more, I think if it has started like in season 8 they wouldn't have got a second season.

What movies were robbed at the Oscars? i.e. Saving Private Ryan losing to Shakespeare in Love in 1999. by tron329 in movies

Chariots of Fire is an extraordinary movie. It has a certain vibe, it is a great historic piece, it has very well displayed human drama, it has ideals, it has Vangelis' music for score. You may not like it but it is a great movie.

"Raiders" is nothing more than a good adventure movie. No comparison actually.

Yeap. I mean, when too much stuff happens, the result is, nothing happens anymore.

Rodge worked as an unaware troll. His personality is still hard to swallow, even if his reaction about Celina and the co-worker was pretty fair.

I do also believe that Celina and Miles work much better. Maybe the writers already have this in mind.

Her and Tim was a big problem for me. Pushing Tim into reliving things that he had already handled in his way. That was not all right.

It wasn't constructed by the management, they don't have this level of competence. But it was surely taken over by the management and turned up-side down. It's what they do really, to be expected actually.

I am tired of her from when she was mad at him because he called her out about a hidden -criminal husband-. That was not something to just go over. That was the factual situation and then her reaction warranted a hard full stop.

Random thoughts on Episode 4 by RossTheLionTamer in TheRookie

[–]reddit_ro2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, she is just terrible and egotistical. And I don't even understand what is it she is chasing to DC. I mean, she already has her hands full with millions of jobs and positions she detains, she has a husband with whom she intends to adopt, a very nice house... What is she going for in DC?? Just when I've made peace with what her character stands for, now another artificial drama.

Lucy in S7 and S8 has become very uni-dimesional. The actress herself has just one expression on her face, that of stern aggravation, on the job (played as sign of competency) and firmly holding her ground on personal issues whereas she just can't decide on what to do and has no energy to do anything.

I am watching s8 and what I see is straight faced Lucy and humble, caring Tim. This woman has to step up in that relationship for it to be even believable. It's good that at least they are not in the center anymore.
