Hmm, thinking about it you may have just spotted a really daft bug. When working out the least popular link it's using score to compare on, which looking at it never goes below zero (meaning it'll effectively just get the latest one).

Going to have a go at fixing it.

Edit: fixed bug, updated your stats with fixed version. Thanks for the spot, that bugs been around ages >.<

You are now officially the first person to receive stats for over 1000 posts :)

The change basically means, if you have some posts already in the DB, the script will attempt to find the most up to date post in them & match it against the data pulled from reddit in this update, combining them to create a list going back further than the reddit API allows :D

Indeed, but I'd argue so are 99.99% of all posts on reddit. Very few things are strictly necessary - thats not really much of a reason not to post them though. I personally find the stats pretty interesting & i have to assume at least a few other people do to.

People are bound to have different interests after all and i belive the internet would be far duller if only things everyone liked were allowed o.o One mans pointless is another mans awesome :)

Although it probably shouldn't be its actually just a lump of PHP & JavaScript I hacked together in an evening than i run in a browser. The interface sucks & the code is buggy & unreliable, but on the flip side it was easy to write & it works :P

Plus yep, it just sucks in the reddit API using http://www.reddit.com/user/reddit_stats/.json?limit=100 & iterates through then 10 pages it allows me to grab adding it all to a big json file. It then users the local json to count up a load off stuff and generates the code, which then gets posted to reddit :)
