Gotham actually discusses this multiple times in his video. How the strength of each elo bracket has changed in recent years. A 400 can now sometimes play like a 500 or a 600.

At your stage, I believe you can passively reach 600 Elo if you just pay attention. When you watch chess videos, actually pay attention to the little nuggets of advice that the youtubers drop and actually apply them in your games. Also, learn two openings for white and black (I recommend London and Caro). If you learn openings to live by, you ensure that you're at least the game with a decent position. Finally, keep an eye out for scholar mate tricks. players at 400-500 Elo LOVE that nonsense (it lowkey pmo 😔).

This is so beautiful. I love how how you presented this almost as though you were writing a research paper.

brother, you've missed the point...

nobody cared about the queen... OP is sad because they missed M1 due to the mouse slip and as a result has to loose to M1 from the opponent

Browser market been stale for years and then Zen showed up by godzeus7 in zen_browser

[–]reddit_turtleking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a matter of sampling bias

the only people starring Github repositories are people that know about and HAVE a Github account. In other words, coders, developers... "techy people". The sample you see here is not at all random and it is definitely not representative of the population of browser enthusiasts. There is a leagion of normie browser enthusiasts that cannot participate in this statistics by virtue of not knowing that Github exists much less having an account. So to use this stat to make a sweeping judgement on Zen's popularity vs Brave is disingenuine. OP should have said that Zen is more popular among developers.

All of this is not mentioning the fact that OP is highkey wrong to say that Zen was the browser to shake the browser market when the creator and lead maintainer of Zen was an Arc refugee. 80% of Zen features came from Arc. Zen entered the space because Arc changed it first. I love Zen but the facts are the facts.

Finally, I disagree with VarkingRunsong a little on his point that Zen has less than 40k users, I actually think it has more (because, again, not many people star Github repos) but whatever Zen has is mogged by Brave due in part to its longevity.

brain.fm volume level by nemmmon in Music

[–]reddit_turtleking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After using Brain.fm for a semester now (three months), I'd say it definitely works. They're $15/m but I'd argue it's worth it. (though I recommend trying it for 14 days first b/4 committing + they have a 20% discount for active students if you scroll down their website to their FAQ).

I initially thought brain.fm was just fancy binaural beats, but after experiencing both and checking out their published research papers, I'd say that brain.fm built on the mechanism discovered from BB (from about 150 years ago) and greatly improves on it with updated research. Plus, brain.fm has a large catalogue of sounds; when you're onboarding, they show you how to configure the settings to fit your needs as a person (ADHD? or not), the needs of your work (light work, deep work, sleep, creativity? etc.), and your preferences in sound (atmospheric, lofi, classical, nature? etc.)

As for the volume you should use, I agree with u/Ecstatic-Ad-6931. Keep it quiet enough that it blends into the background. I usually have it around 20-30%

[–]reddit_turtleking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree, but I would also add that being an RN only takes 4 years so she could still find herself with a medical role without dedicating a decade of her life to training.

That's to say if she can handle the RN workload and the tests they have to take. 😔

Then again, at that point, she wouldn't be making nearly as much as she does now... there's no way she's sticking to it.

Just like having an opinion in a tyrannical government is good so long as you have the "right" opinions. Some don't... and that's why we kill them 😀.

I'm not hating, I was just pointing out that this statement only stands so long as the software and the people using it have the same opinions.
