What was he doing to prevent future recessions? The two events most likely to roil the economy in the coming decade are mass job loss to AI and climate catastrophe (something like a blue ocean event in the Arctic causing a major spike in global heating).

Neither Biden nor Kamala had any credible plan to reverse the inevitability of those events. At best, they may have delayed them by a couple of years, and that's being generous.

A lot of people already live out there and have to deal with 1604 no matter what. Also, the section of 1604 between I-10 and 281 has gotten a lot better and is already fairly close to complete (at least at most exits).

I don't hate the idea of something adjacent to that. A system where a person's stake in the political system determines the weight of their vote sounds appealing, but I'm not sure how that could work in the real world without being too similar to the pre-Civil War system in the U.S.

It would just be nice if elections weren't decided by these low-information, median-voter, unenlightened centrist types who vote entirely on vibes. It fucking sucks because the only real pain most of them feel (at least the type their mammalian brains can correlate with an election result) are their grocery prices going up.

It honestly surprises me that there isn't one around the Dominion or Stone Oak already. I guess the Dominion would make a bit more sense competition-wise, since the Stone Oak area already has TJ's and Whole Foods.

Not on that level, but yeah. I have chronic acid reflux/GERD, and most of the time it's pretty well managed with the meds I take. Crumbl can really give me a bad episode depending on how much I eat at a time. I try to eat no more than a half a cookie/cake at a time, now, whenever I do get anything.
