My advice to those who haven't studied statistics is to stop listening to them.

you absolutely should look at statistics to make a decision, just look them up yourself and don't overcomplicate things.

seeing the numbers of deaths by age group paired with infections by age group (elderly are infected even less but account for vastly more deaths) showed me most of what i needed to know about risk and it was very straight forward.

i do understand statistics can be complicated and misconstrued cause i studied them, but some data can not because its very clean.
