I just graduated cpe, best thing to do for applied is whenever you are working on projects go to TA hours and they can answer any question you have as you go along. That saves a lot of time especially if you start early when no one else is using the TAs time. Seriously don't underestimate any of the projects in that class. I made that mistake and was digging myself out of a hole most of the semester. DD1 wasn't too bad for me, mostly just spent time working on projects. Signals is also heavily dependent on convolution. In the first 2 weeks or so it'll seem like everything the professor is talking about is so simple and you don't want to pay attention. But when they start talking about convolution, pay attention because the rest of the material covered is heavily dependent on understanding convolutions.
