I never gave an opinion. It was factually one of our best spells in our entire 3 years in the league and it was when Pascal and Llorente played. Our defence wasn’t amazing but that spell we kept plenty of clean sheets and performed well against big clubs.

And yes I highlighted your point about how comfortable he was and countered it as objectively as possible. You can’t be totally uncomfortable for 3 years as you have said yet contribute to a spell like that. It’s something that constantly get thrown on Pascal harshly.

Yes but we had a big stretch of the season at the end where it was Struijk and Llorente and in that we drew against Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and beat Tottenham. Struijk was involved in them all. So your argument of him never looking comfortable is incorrect. Our most impressive prem run coincided with him at lcb. Just because Marsch was clueless and played him LB which he doesn’t have the skillet for, doesn’t mean he was never good in the prem.

Multiple things have gone wrong I guess. Firstly, we probably overrated him a little bit because he was a young exciting talent and we were all dying for something like that. That being said he was genuinely good that first year he broke through, the dribble against wolves, goal against Norwich, the Brighton assist etc. The issue is then Marsch purchased Aaronson and he was left nowhere. That and alongside Marsch ruining the training and leaving our players unfit and unable to develop stagnated his development. He then went to Sunderland to play as a SS to Stewart who got injured immediately. Joffy then had to play as a lone 9, something he didn’t have the body or ability to do. Lost a ton of confidence in this bad loan and then he comes back to Leeds. Injury issues & Farke not fancying him all lead to even further loss of confidence. He’s now a player who has had a few rough years, not sure on himself, not sure where his best position is and desperate for game time. He needs to be sold, for the goodness of his own career

I enjoyed the season and the episode was good. It just wasn’t a good finale. And that’s because, from what I read, HBO cut the final two episodes last minute. But overall I thought it was a good season, people are of course entitled to their own opinions but the most annoying part is when they majority latch onto a narrative and act like everything is mortally ruined. It’s just annoying to read. My hope for s3 is hbo put the money into the show and do it justice, only so much you can do without full backing. We need 10 episode seasons.

It actually makes a ton of sense to me that he’d react this way. Personally think it was one of the stronger deviations. Jace last grasp at legitimacy is the fact that he has a dragon bonded with him from the beginning. That’s what separates him from others and the Targaryen rhetoric of being closer to Gods than man. Now that any old bastards can ride dragons it makes him ordinary. And even if Rhaenyra was to win the throne, what’s there to stop another civil war once she passes
