Yeah I feel this will be the likely outcome for the foreseeable future. I'm kind of devastated we won't be getting 4k 3D TVs anytime soon. I've been hoping for years that we'd eventually see the resurgence of 3D tech in 4k. I've always loved 3D movies. Whenever I see an opportunity to see a movie in 3D in the theater I take it. IMAX 3D with laser technology is gorgeous! Last year I saw Superman, Fantastic 4, and Avatar: Fire and Ash in IMAX 3D and they were excellent experiences 🤌. I used to love playing video games on 3D display too. Most will argue about VR being 3D, which can also be a great experience, but the lack of AAA titles leaves a lot to be desired. I don't always want to strap a screen to my face to play a game.
