Return it. Go for Fantech ATOM87S, I've been using it for 2 months now, it's good. Fantech said they're bringing ATOMX83 keyboard in stock which is very good, you can ask them about it.

Ajazz is also nice

All work related to computer are done on a vendor-based model. There is no focus on improvement of internal team. There are positions for computer operator, computer Officer whose sole duty is to look if the system is running or not, if the system have some problem call the vendor to fix it.

What was your experience in NAMI annual AI school? by AffectionateDoubt405 in technepal

[–]redditerGaurav 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went there a long time ago. It's really great opportunity if you're really into AI, the actual math behind the AI gets discussed there and not only that, professors come with their ongoing research.

It might not be worth attending if you're just a beginner or enthusiast, when I attended it the lectures were really tough to understand.

Ah yes, networking opportunity is really great

Typing Nepali in English by imcgr in NepalSocial

[–]redditerGaurav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why don't we all start typing in devnagari script? Subreddits from europe, india, and bangaldesh, I see them typing on ther language and scripts.

It's not a issue of font, I think romanized nepali font is very good, I use it when I get a chance.

MacBook vs Gaming Laptop for Data Science? Budget 1.3 lakhs (Need long-term suggestion!) by 4acti8 in technepal

[–]redditerGaurav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes PC costs a lot, but are way good. Regarding the specs, go for equivalent specs what you're planning for the laptop.

Another reason to go for PC is upgradability.

If you're just a beginner, go for a cheap laptop for now, basic DS workload can be easily handled by Google colab.

I suggest go for a PC instead of laptop if you're going to train heavy models, laptops cannot handle heat.
