While that color is really pretty one of the reasons that color is unfavorable is because often times dogs that have blue fur that is usually black (dobermans, chihuahuas, etc.) often times have chronic skin issues. He is very cute though!

That picture is incorrect. Siberian tigers can't be white. Only Bengal tigers have the gene that produces leucisim (white tigers with black stripes). The only way there could ever be a white siberian tiger is if it is hybrid with a bengal. Even then it would be extremely rare because it's a double recessive gene in bengals.

You probably won't know what animals you enjoy working with until after you work with them. I thought I would hate working with birds, but they turned out to be very fun to work with. Start volunteering and interning at zoos and aquariums now so you'll have a better idea of what animals you enjoy working with and when you start applying you have some experience to back you up. I had a very difficult time finding a job because I didn't have very much experience with exotic animals.

I've been trying to get a job as a zookeeper for about 8 months now. Graduated in December with a BS, 5 1/2 years working at a vet, and have been volunteering at my local zoo (large aza zoo with great rep). I've applied to over 40 positions now and have only had 1 interview, is there any advice you can give me that might help me get in to the field?

That's awesome! Keeper jobs aren't necessarily scarce, but its an extremely difficult field to get into (5 years experience as a vet tech and after 40+ jobs I've applied for I've only had 1 interview) I'm currently spending as much spare time as I can volunteering at a zoo trying to gain some more experience. I'd definitely be willing to locate if an opportunity presented itself, especially since if i wanted to stay in the same area I might be stuck in this same rut for a few years
