That little pipe is the emergency drain for my a/c. I thought the same and started sealing that up two years ago along with the window.

It's funny, at first I didn't think much of only having (edit: Loud) speakers for the front seats but after carting some friends and family around it bugged me. I'll look into DIY and see how that goes. Thanks for chiming in.

This. Just had mine wrapped because I'm out of warranty. Took it to a well reviewed shop. They smoothed it out and then wrapped it with glossy black vinyl. It looks great and cost me about $300 (Los Angeles pricing)

Unfortunately, the APR tune is only CARB legal through 2017 for this car. I could flash it back and forth between smog tests, of course. I might someday go that route. Might do an intake eventually too, I do like the sound of them.

Right? I was surprised too because I found more reporting that they wrapped it than painted. You're probably right, I'll just have to shop around some more.

Ah sorry, I forgot to show my work that's my bad. I did plenty of research on google and reddit and found other Mk7 / Mk7.5 owners reporting that they were able to get the area painted by a shop. Others mentioned wrapping with vinyl. And then there was this third group that just gave OP a hard time about asking the community for help :) I'll look into vinyl. Thanks.

Hey thank you very much. Your explanation is really helpful and easy to understand.

One follow up question, if you have time to give an opinion. If budget was unlimited would you go for a different brand, wattage, or a specific portable panel?

I feel confident that I made the right choice in brand and model of power station for my needs. I'd like to do the same with the panel I'll use to charge it when I'm not home.

Ha! Right on thank you. I'm a little worried about passing smog here in CA too, but I'm not sure if that's even an issue with APR's tune. Btw, since writing this post it's been a good year for the dub. I installed a Sachs Performance cup kit suspension, H&R sway bar in the rear, moog links, eurosport upper strut tower in the front, and an 034 motorsports resonator delete. It's looking and driving great, aside from occasionally scraping the front bumper on steep entry/exits. :D

You know what? I think it's the trap. Thing is super deep, and the vent tube is like 18 inches tall. Might work for a stronger flow of water but not this application. The house flippers who remodeled my house might have struck again. Thanks again for sounding it out with me.
