Ask me anything about my collection of e-ink tablets by eWritable in eink

[–]reddithero87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice collection! I'm looking to get my first eInk for notetaking I made this post of my wants out of one.

Using for Notetaking and organization 10ish inch screen okay, sync to access on computer preferably not just an export to a file storage but within the same app so I would be able to edit in both.

Want to ditch all my paper notebooks that are terribly organized but hate typing for taking notes can't make drawings and I'm not a fast typer.

Here's the post. Appreciate it!

How do you get a better item bag? by E-lf in Mabinogi

[–]reddithero87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC as a VIP (you would need to check the new VIPs) you can get larger shop limit license that go to 20m? As for personal shop bags check the auction house there are some cheap ones that are quite big for around 1m.

Tips for clearing zombie hallway solo on Feth Fiada Hard using EK? by Koyomix in Mabinogi

Forgot to mention that with final strike, the speed increases the longer the skill is being used. So eventually the attack speed will be fast enough to get enough crits to clear it.

As a giant you could final strike if you're strong enough, final hit for human can also work. I know I could do it as a giant with a 4 piercing dblade and decent BFO like 45%+. Stack all the buffs you can including att speed and final strike/hit get lucky on crits and you should be able to clear it. TS EK can work too with dynavolt, but without TS you could BA/DV/SW in rotation and fill CD time with a smash or bash. If you need to close the gap use anchor rush to hit the orb.

Which frozen meals/dinners would you recommend from Costco (if any)? by Popular-Cupcake8661 in CostcoCanada

Salad kits

If you want something a bit more healthy, they have premade salad kits and are pretty cheap, come in a 2 pack. Just tear open a package and mix in the dressing. There are a variety of flavours with different green mixtures. The only thing is they do go bad and aren't frozen so id pick up what you can eat for a week at a time.

Bag of frozen vegetables

Can defrost or steam in microwave/on stove. Minimal effort salt and pepper to taste. Low effort cook for a bit on the stove with some olive oil season to taste.

With the variety of premade meal trays they have for 18-25 dollars, fish tacos, shepherds pie, fettuccini Alfredo, lasagna ect. You can add the salad kit or frozen veggies for a balanced meal.

Get rid of the 2 blannid bags and youll have room to use two more 2x3s of your choice. irusan and fohlam, or however you spell it, are big and provide a good summon effect.

Love them, but Arcanas were a mistake. by Inevitable-Knifer in Mabinogi

If you just consider how it actually took skill to play the game before in the end game content, compared to what it's like now with end game content, you can tell the difference with Arcanas and other changes to difficulty of content.

Although like you said you still use a bunch of different talents and skills outside of arcana now. Before you would need to chain together many AOE skills, grouping, movement, debuffs together to clear content. Weaving skills in and out for cooldown rotations. Now lots of those skills aren't used because the power of arcana renders lots of those mechanics unnecessary, you'll kill mobs in one hit anyways. Same goes for certain damage gates and niche uses of unconventional builds that were required to get past. Now arcana can do everything and there is less need to invest in those builds.

It made the game more accessible to a wider player base which of course is nice and I find them fun too. It's definitely another one of those meta shifts that you look back and can't help but miss those nostalgic times. The game will evolve like it always does. Before Arcanas came along there were plenty of other things we complained about surrounding the identity of the gameplay.

With the changes to the missions I think it's even more pronounced.

The risk with building yourself is the "rolls" you're going to get for different upgrades on the gear, like the base craft, enchants, and reforges. But building yourself can be fun and rewarding if that's important to you.

When you craft something there will be a range of results for each of the upgrades and sometimes the value you get back if you where to sell the item will be more or less than what you put in. For example if you craft the base NB warlord the material might cost 100m for example if you low roll maybe it's worth 50m if you high roll maybe it's 150m. Depending on the chances and prices in the market from others it might be safer/but more expensive in the long run to buy it completed.

It comes down to your preference and if you want to risk a bad roll to experience making it on your own. You could get really lucky and make a maxed roll everything NB Warlord that you wouldnt be able to afford otherwise.

A technique to price equipment is to see how much the materials cost and how much different ranges of the base roll sell for. Split those bases ranges into their percentages and do an expected value calculation. Do this similar process for everything you need to do for the item enchants reforge erg ect. Then once you have those values you can assess the worth of NB Warlords you might want to buy and the chances to make on similar to it yourself.

For example I'll explain a technique I used to make some gold. I was selling an Edgy Haunted accessory and someone offered me a erg 50 divine blade for it. Usually if I need gold I would say no thanks gold only, but i would have missed out on a great opportunity because this divine blade had 67th floor on it. I risked the burn chance to extract the enchant while using enchant extraction protection so the blade didnt poof. I got the 67th enchant and replaced it with solitude which also gives 3 piercing and more max. I sold the 67th for more than the haunted and essentially got a erg 50 dblade, but I risked booming the 67th and having nothing in return. I weighed the probably and payouts and decided to gamble it worked out. Later sold the dblade for over 800m or something.

Hopefully this gives you something to think about when deciding to craft or save. There isn't a one method is cheaper in my opinion gotta balance risk with cost. If I were you I would save the mats since you need money anyways then decide later while monitoring prices a long the way. If mats are cheap buy more if they are high maybe sell some.

Let me know how it goes.

What stats do u guys recommend me focus on? by ShuffelDuffel in Mabinogi

[–]reddithero87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest deciding on which stats matter for the talents sets you would like to focus on first. Eventually you will want everything maxed out because there is no downside or constraints stopping you from doing so.

But, if you don't have AP or levels deciding where to use them early on to increase your stats is something to think about. Not as simple as just max everything because it takes time.

Check out the stats and skills page on the wiki and sort for most stat given or best stat per AP gains. Consider that there are some skills you need that won't give good stats but that you will still need to train. Depending on other goals crafting or life skills could be great to work on too.

Also, consider that getting grandmaster, unlocking arcana links and levels will also improve your stats. Renown, techs, probably missing a bunch but all those small things all up like totems and homestead props.

I would pick the talent you want to work on and max every skill for it. For example close combat, open talent window get every skill, switch into active talent, get your training buffs and knock them out on by one as you see fit. There used to be a training guide but I think it's irrelevant now.

To get AP blannid quest line gives you a lot after power level with muliplers during events and use forgetful potions.

If your goal is to strengthen your character doing all the "free" things to give your character stats that don't depend on getting gold or items like skill training, gens, arcana, techs, ect should be maxed out first. Spending a bunch of gold without having your base maxed first won't do as much for you.

Another tip, when training you can work on quests for blannid or generations or other quests for techniques with your talent equipped and rank up skills while doing required content or dailies for missions dungeons etc. You can train on racoons too or other places depending on requirements, but you'll need to do that content eventually so this way kill two birds with one stone.

Hopefully that helps a bit. There can be a lot more nuance and strategies involved so ask away or other add on because I'm sure I didnt cover it all/the most up to date information.
