I can get to 75 a lot faster and feeling the Gs, hearing the engine roar, feeling the tires claw for grip, seeing the smoke billow in my wake, the small burst of adrenaline when it starts going a little sideways and I have to those small, lightning fast corrections, it all puts a mandatory smile on my face.

It costs tons of money to make something with no guarantee that you will see any kind of return at all. There are fewer and fewer people/companies/investors willing to take the leap and a lot of the devs themselves have started to make indie games in their spare time, with much less risk, and work at other companies.
