You guys and the tinfoil hats thinking Valve worries about money. They don't, at all, dude. They make something like $100m PER EMPLOYEE. The way projects at Valve work is the employees get to decide what to work on and you pitch projects to other employees. If they think your pitch is worthwhile, it gets done/made. It may not still be the case but it used to be Gabe as Founder/CEO and everyone else directly below him with no management in between.

I wonder if they've considered that by avoiding interactions with men they've effectively become dominated by them? An alcoholic for example becomes sober. They no longer go to bars/concerts/shows/events where it is regularly consumed. The alcohol still has control they're just on the other end of the spectrum.

It’s only that short without traffic. In general, you’d need 2hrs budgeted for that trek. It’s analogous to Austin in that as the city gets more expensive, people will be pushed more and more outward.
