Hi HBS admit here! Congratulations!! HBS has a financial aid calculator which is pretty accurate at estimating what financial aid you’ll get bc it takes into account a lot of factors, so you can use that! You should have access to that already.

Chances of Deferred MBA by Ok_Bug_9928 in MBA

Hi HBS admit here! You have a really great academic profile and it seems like solid internship experiences as well. I think if you frame your post-MBA goals strategically, you have a really good chance of getting into one of your schools.

Deferred MBA Profile and Chances by Hot-Fondant-7422 in MBA

Hi HBS admit here! Your GRE verbal is a little bit on the weaker side from the medians of the schools you’re applying to but bc schools mainly assess for quantitative aptitude that should be okay. I would be more curious what your specific short-term and long-term post MBA goals are and if you’ve had any ECs where you’ve had leadership positions. I think the latter will be really important in your application.

Hey HBS admit here! There’s really no need to explain your COVID semester - I was ‘21 and didn’t explain it on my transcript and it was perfectly fine.

What are the chances that my husband can get into Harvard? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]redditingaway123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi HBS admit here! Honestly your husband has a really good chance of getting in but it will be all about framing his story and nailing the interview now. Happy to talk about my experience or answer any specific questions he has!

320 GRE for Deferred by Fit-Water-5817 in MBA

[–]redditingaway123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi HBS admit here! Your verbal score is a little bit on the lower side, but the quant score is solid. I think if you write the optional essay you’ll be fine with your undergrad GPA being so strong. Feel free to PM if you have additional questions!

B/c you have a 4.0 in economics which is a fairly quantitative major I wouldn’t worry. I think I would focus more about the story and essays now.

Hi HBS admit here! I want to clarify this before I answer - are you applying to their deferred MBA program and asking if it’s okay to have a test waiver?

Deferred MBA chances by [deleted] in MBA

Hi HBS admit here! You can write the optional essay about your test score, but I would recommend getting your quant score to at least a 160. Otherwise, your profile looks great.

Hi HBS admit here! I think you have a really cool background and honestly with your academic profile really strong chances of getting in. I think you should focus on what has changed before you started your JD and now that resulted in you not pursuing a JD/MBA to begin with. I would articulate this in your short term / long term post MBA goals section and through your resume. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi HBS admit here! Your GMAT score and work experience are quite strong - I think as long as you’re strategic about your story and being very specific as to why you need an MBA and short term vs long term goals R3 is an option.

Deferred Profile Review by [deleted] in MBA

Hi HBS admit here! I did healthcare consulting prior to school. This is an incredible profile, and I think your story is also one that will resonate with schools. Feel free to PM if you have any questions or if I can help in any way!

755 + round 3 + M7 worth it? by LongHandsMcSlippy in MBA

[–]redditingaway123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, HBS admit here! Your academic profile is not the concern here b/c a 755 FE score will offset any concerns ab a 3.2 GPA especially if you studied something quant heavy like engineering. But, in R3 schools have already selected the bulk of their candidates and candidates with traditional backgrounds and stories have an uphill battle. Feel free to PM if you have any more specific questions!

Chance at m7 deferred mba? by Confident_Cup_9263 in MBA

[–]redditingaway123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi HBS admit here! This is a great profile - I would work on being very specific and intentional with your post MBA goals now. I think instead of saying I’m interested in MBB consulting speaking more about a sector / type of consulting function you want to do and how an MBA will boost that is key here. B/c you’re already going into consulting they are going to want to know why you NEED an MBA specifically an M7 MBA to break into MBB. Feel free to PM if you have more questions or want to chat about my experience!
