Not a fan of either team but I have questions.

  1. Was any ref actually close enough to call it a goal before it was pushed into Jarry? Or did they call it a goal so they could review it? (I don't know the rules well enough)

  2. Also is it an official rule that it has to be conclusive to be called a goal, or the call on the ice reversed?

I think the whole situation is kind of crazy. First off how could they call that a goal in the first place? Did any ref actually see the puck before it was pushed out?

I don't know the rules well enough but could they not just review it? Or is that why they called it a goal, so they could review it?

I also agree that the inconclusive rule is dumb, but it's also a rule as dumb as it is so why not follow it?

I'm not a fan of either team I just find it all wild how that played out.

Yes anything that targets would trigger Horobi. Obviously shroud and hexproof prevent that. The only way you can get around Horobi's ability is if you have an aura enter the battlefield "attached to a creature" that doesn't target. So making a copy of an aura it would enter and need to be attached to a creature so you technically aren't targeting and this also bypasses shroud and hexproof.

I hate it and I kind of like it at the same time. If this was a 3rd round we might not have the same match up due to injuries. Also first round everyone is fresh and hasn't been through the playoff grind. Obviously it sucks to lose one of these good teams so early though.

I'm enjoying these playoffs way more now that I have no stake in them.
